ORELLE - SKI VAL THORENS + hiking/m.biking Elegant mountain chalet completely renovated, for 7 people, in Val de Maurienne. In the small and charming village of Le Noiray (alt. 1030 m), in a quiet residential area, just 2 minutes from Orelle and the connecting cable car which in 15 minutes takes you to the 3 Vallèè: Val Thorens, Meribel and Courchevel, the most largest ski area in the world with 600 km of slopes. The chalet with wooden beams and exposed stone is on two floors. Let yourself be lulled by the mountain atmosphere and refined style, a mix of tradition and modernity. On the ground floor, it is composed of a living room with fireplace and a comfortable double sofa bed, an equipped kitchen open to the living room, with an 8-person wooden dining table, and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor, overlooking the living room via the balcony, it offers an elegant double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed, a bathroom with a hydromassage tub. Outside it has access to the mountain paths and parking a few meters from the house. Suitable in winter for skiing in the largest area in the world, and in summer for hiking and mountain biking. Short (but steep walk) to the small local shop for fresh bread/croissants. Yes, as per earlier reviews, it is quite dark inside the chalet, but you get used to it. \*\*\*bedding and towels/tea towels are not included. We didn’t realise this until the day before we left home. This does create a weight problem with flying. There wasn’t a duvet set for the sofa bed disappointingly, even though we had booked for 5 people. No Wi-Fi, but not an issue for us. A fabulous chalet with friendly hosts, would definitely recommend (if you have space/allowance to take bedding/towels with you). ##### Abi H. It was good to stay in a small hamlet and an individual chalet (and a pleasant change to stay somewhere not enirely furnished from IKEA!) Well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for unpacking clothes etc. When we stayed there was no snow around the property so we had no problem reaching it by car or walking from the parking to the chalet. The only downside was the chalet was quite dark inside when the shutters to the first floor glass doors were closed. Emplacement isolée mais prêt de modane et st jean de Maurienne idéal pour découvrir région. Seul point négatif si on peut dire = pour l’été aménagement d’un petit coin terrasse à la place des transats- manque un petit BBQ. Sinon équipements parfaits pour une famille de 5 . Une maison décorée avec goût dans laquelle on se sent parfaitement bien tant les adultes que les enfants. En 15 ans de gîte, nous avons rarement vu une location aussi propre. Wahouuuuu !!!!!! Quel bonheur !!!!!! Une mention spéciale pour des propriétaires absolument adorables et soucieux du bien être de leurs vacanciers. Little kitchen, comfortable living area and two bedrooms. Shower and bathroom excellent. Well shuttered so keeps cool in heat of summer (32-36 every day this stay) Peaceful village and great local walks, runs and rides. No local shops but not far to St Michel or Modane both have excellent supermarkets and other shops.
