BNB Made Easy is a professional short-term rental property management company, so rest assured your stay at Dora Cottage will be professionally managed, thoughtfully prepared, and easy to settle into. The cottage pairs an original heritage exterior with a soft, considered interior — sage green kitchen, marble bathroom finishes with matte black accents, and feature lighting through the two living areas. A wood fireplace anchors the main living area on cool nights, and the 70-inch smart TV is on hand for evenings in. Step out the back for a BBQ in the fully fenced yard, or settle around the firepit with a wine from the Orange region. Cook with fresh produce from the Orange Farmers' Market (second Saturday monthly in Robertson Park), or set up at the Bedroom 1 desk for a work-from-home day on the free WiFi.
THE LOCATION:

Coffee and brunch are close at hand, with Nile Street Cafe (49 Nile St) the nearest cafe in East Orange, and Village Bakehouse (208 Peisley St, 550m) and Bread & Honey (650m) a short walk further. Avido Ristorante (184 Peisley St, 550m) handles Italian, Bodhi Garden (400m) and Mr Sushi King (550m) cover Asian, and Hey Rosey (550m) is the small wine bar to know. The Hotel Orange (500m) and Parkview Hotel (281 Summer St, 600m) both serve pub-style meals. Ashcroft's SUPA IGA (600m) covers groceries, and Odeon 5 Cinemas (43 William St, 650m) and Pinot & Picasso (800m) are both walkable evening options.
For wine lovers, Highland Heritage Estate cellar door sits 3km east on the Mitchell Highway (8 min drive), Swinging Bridge Wines is around 10 minutes out, and Heifer Station Wines roughly 12. Lake Canobolas (12km) is a short drive west for a picnic, and the Duntryleague golf course sits just a couple of minutes from the CBD.

Overall a pleasant stay. Reported blockages in bathroom/toilet drainage on Monday 8/9/25 to ensure this maintenance was attended to before the next tenancy.
Dora Cottage is an absolute delight.Just a 5 minute walk into town makes this stylishly equipped abode your home away from home in the heart of Orange. The house has all of the mod cons you’d expect, including a working fireplace (they’ll provide you fire wood on arrival for a small price) as well as a fire pit outside - perfect for roasting some marshmallows and reverse cycle aircon. The two beautifully appointed bedrooms make it perfect for two couples- the main bedroom has a king size bed which can be made into two singles. The kitchen is well-appointed however if you wish to cook I’d recommend bringing a large saucepan and a large sharp knife. There is a large saucepan which is teflon coated but has lots of scratches and there are no plastic implements to prevent further injuries to the pan. There is no chef’s knife or a bread knife. There are loads of pots and baking dishes. The Nespresso machine is sh!t - however there’s a great bakery around the corner which does a good coffee. All in all, I plan on returning to Dora Cottage because its proximity to town is fabulous and it is very well appointed, clean and stylish.
