A fantastic experience from start to finish. Excellent communication from both the property owner and manager.....we were late arriving and the manager was ultra accommodating. He was there to greet us late in the evening and had even turned the heaters on for us - so thoughtful! The accommodation itself was just stunning. Really well laid out and appointed, nice and clean and very well equipped. It is a lovely calm space, and the views are just magic. Will stay again - hopefully next time not for a work trip as this was, but for pleasure.

Amazing Opua
This was a fantastic place to stay. The property has had some top quality restortions done to it and the results were incredibly well done. It was wonderfully warm and felt like a home. The check in/check out was seemless and the property manager, Chris, was incredibly approachable and helpful. We really hope to be able to stay here again.

A piece of paradise
Words can't describe this place that will accurately say what it was like. It was amazing beautiful peaceful central clean tidy the view was outstanding facilities were great the caretaker was lovely and very helpful and the owner was a delight to communicate with. Fantastic location and facilities
Family of four stayed three nights. The location was brilliant. Close to everything. Highly recommend tour of the islands, we went on 4.5hr boat ride that returned to Pahia at sunset, was beautiful, very informative plus great chance to swim and walk on uteri island. The house was well appointed with quality bedding and facilities, very comfortable and the view of the harbour from the front of the house was brilliant, close enough to immerse yourself in boating village. Chris was very helpful, photos don’t do it justice. Just a wonderful experience for all, thank you.

Wonderful accommodations with everything you need. Chris and Ceillo are very delightful and accommodating. The view from the property is breath-taking. Delwyn is prompt in her replies and gives helpful information about the area. I HIGHLY recommend this location. You won't be disappointed.

Immaculate apartment on the water's edge. Everything you need and impeccably presented. A great escape from Waitangi celebrations, and day trips. Easy access to Russell car ferry and Pahia. Lovely couple - mihi to you for your manaaki x

Fourth stay at a favourite spot
This was our fourth visit in as may years to this accomodation. We have stayed in the upstairs apartment twice and the downstairs apartment twice, depending on group size. On this occasion we had both as came away with another family. The accomodation is so beautifully dressed, and everything is always in full working order and absolutely spotless. We love the location as it is nice and quiet and a perfect spot to explore the Bay of Islands from.

We had a fantastic stay here and will definitely be back. Great location and stunning views of the beach. Chris and Cielo were so kind and always on hand if we needed anything. The house is really lovely and stocked with everything you need. Our kids loved the kayaks and the coastal walk is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Gem in Opua
Very well refurbished and well maintained bach. Having been built in 1885, it's been refurbished not too long ago. The refurbishment was an excellent job. The inside design just like the outside design breathe the warming and welcoming charm of a New Zealand villa despite it being "just" an appartment. The images can't do just to the actual view from the balcony: The view is stunning and you've got to see it yourself. It has all the amenities that we were looking for, including dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and many more. It's a home away from home. Internet connection is quite good and you also pretty good mobile phone coverage. We really enjoyed the stay. It's located in a cul-de-sac, so there is very little traffic. Neighbors are quiet as well. Nearby is the Opua General Store which carries the essentials. If you need more, then there is a Countdown (aka Woolworth) about 15 minutes drive away. Kerikeri can be reached within about 35 minutes if you need even more. There is the car ferry between Opua and the Russell side. While you hear it initially, you won't notice anymore after a while. They don't run at night so then it's even quieter. The caretakers are very friendly and happy to help and provide advice. Thank you, Ciello and Chris! You're putting a lot of effort in to make guests feel at home quickly! Thank you for making this such an enjoyable stay! I hope I have covered everything here. I am happy to recommend this bach wholeheartedly!

This is a wonderful home! It has some beautiful historic features but is very tastefully modernised. The location is superb, wth beautiful views and great access to walks and scenic drives. Out of this world !
What a privilege to stay in such unique accommodation. Clean, comfortable, with all the mod cons yet in an 1860's building which has been maintained superbly. We were well looked after by the caretaker - nothing was too much trouble for her. Opua is a perfect base to explore much of the Bay of Islands. The view from the unit was fantastic - we were even treated to a group of young folk training on the Waka right in front of us. We stayed for 7 nights and felt a great sadness when it was time to leave. Thank you for your hospitality and hard work in looking after this beautiful building! Rosemary & Alan

Opua excellence !
We absolutely loved our 5 days staying in your beautiful historic family home. Looking at the property from the photos, or from a distance it certainly looks like an 1895 building, in the best way possible. From the Opua wharf or ferry it stands out as really classy and beautiful. On entering we were blown away with the wonderful modinisation, so tastefully done without losing the character of the place. The veranda offers a great place for breakfast or evening meal. Of all the places we have stayed at this has to be right up with the best. We are now telling friends about it. Thankyou, from Jamie Jan and Susan.
