Property is very well located and scenic natural beauty can be seen.Also , surrounded by play-ground of property owned premises were lot of sports activities and other activities can be enjoyed. Overall condition of stay and services are below par (average).

Valley view , relaxing hotel in Ooty

Great location on hilltop, on the way to the highest point of Ooty (Dodabetta). Quite spacious and they have lot of activities to spend time. The best thing I like the evening tea stall that serves variety of teas to pick from with light snacks. And that was on the house! The availability of choices in liquor were limited. Food quality in buffet breakfast and dinner was OK - can be improved. We liked ala-carte dishes.

Had fun..

We enjoyed our stay, hospitality,food, child care and activities was awesome. Especially mr.manikandan and teams food service and activities conducted by mr.gopal was excellent. We would like to visit again.

Nice hotel with great staff and food

The hotel is a bit out of the way, but there is plenty of parking, and they take care of the driver too. There was a welcome New Year's day cake in the room, and a plate of cookies, homemade chocolates and fruits. Who can ask for anything more? The included breakfast and dinner was exceptional, a liberal feast with staff hosting every guest personally. Exceptional food quality. The rooms are large and we had good views. The staff took the trouble to arrange bonfires and games, since it was winter.

Excellent stay at Hotel Highland, Near Doddabetta

Excellent Spacious Rooms with very good service and restaurant. Complementary breakfast is too good with many options. Hotel is close by Doddabetta peak and hence having own vehicle would be better as it is 9km from ooty railway station. otherwise be ready to shell out more for taxi request at travel desk. It is very lonely and peaceful place to be. We enjoyed staying here for 3 days and 2 nights. Stayed on 29 to 31 Mar 2013. Family with one 3 years kid.

Nice hotel if you love the nature

Location of the hotel is awesome...but it is 7-8kms away from the main city...no gym and pool in the hotel...only one restaurant..food quality is ok...restaurant staff is very nice...it's not a 3 star or 4 star hotel...ok type's...poor signal to WiFi in the room....rooms are good but not that clean...

The hotel is oaky but expensive

The hotel is located far away from any town. Therefore, having your own vehicle is advisable though there is a regular bus service and the stop just 50 metres away. The location of the hotel is fantastic and they have some fun games for children. The hotel as such was okay. The room was spacious and the view was good. Breakfast buffet was nothing to write about. The put-downer was that the check-out is 10.00 a.m but they permit check out up to 11.30 a.m if there is no crowd. Overall the hotel was okay

Great Hotel with excellent view of the mountains

We stayed here for a weekend in the beginning of April. The location of this hotel is wonderful, it is away from the crowded part of Ooty, which was perfect for us. The scenic views from the hotel are excellent, mostly green woods and tea estates.The facility was really good for an extended stay or a long weekend. The rooms are big and spacious with huge windows to enjoy the picture perfect view from the rooms. They had a lot of indoor activities too for those who would like to getaway during winter. Food was excellent with a huge buffet spread for breakfast and dinner. Overall a wonderful stay for us...wish we had stayed for longer.

Excellent location, professional staff all around.

Highland Hotel of Otty was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast which they listed as 'plain breakfast' was a full fledged buffet of western and Indian items and sometimes made to order. The Staff all around, was excellent. I could not have asked for anything more. Totally a Happy Experience!

Amazing property with excellent service

The hotel is a little far from city centre but if your the kind who prefers solitude and a good holiday this is the place Set high up around 7km from city centre next to the entrance of doddabeta peak and overlooks a beautiful scenery which is breathtaking. Ambiance of the hotel is excellent with rooms which are as good as a star hotel with amenities which are good. The only drawback are the restroom. It's uncomfortable. Another drawback is that the hotel does not have a elevator so if you have elderly family members you have to take the rooms on the ground floor where the whole world can look into the room. Staff is excellent and they are courteous and would love to be at your service . Food is better than what was served in Taj Savoy. The breakfast buffet has a good spread and you would surely enjoy it with the company of the staff who always have a smile. Overall , one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in even when you compare star hotels .

Nice hotel at nice location (though litte far from the ooty city) Nice food. Nice staff. Rooms were very well maintained. I would recommend anyone going to ooty to stay here for atleast a day. This hotel is pretty close to doddabeta heights
