"Location was helpful to accessing areas we planned to go. The beds were comfortable and the place was roomy. There was an area outside the unit that had extra towels etc as needed.The only small issues were there were only a few cooking utensils like a rice spoon and the coffee maker was broke so the carafe would fill up with grinds. We had to go purchase a spatula. One other thing worth noting. There is only AC in the living room so we had to put it on blast and use fans to push cool air to the bedrooms. It took a few hours but once we did that the rooms were comfortable with the cool air and ceiling fans."

"The property was beautiful and was there was plenty of space. As mentioned in the description, there is only a air conditioner in the living room area, and that does not cool things down well. It was also pretty hot at night. So as long as you understand that when you book it, you will be fine. They provided, linens, towels, bath towels and basic kitchen supplies. The house was close to a grocery store. There was also laundry available which was helpful. Everything was very clean. There was plenty of space for sleeping. The bedroom with a 2 beds actually has a futon that folds down flat, not a sofa bed. The master bedroom was great, but the bed is SUPER creaky. They also supplied multiple fans in each bedroom which helped cool things down as well."

"Property was clean and as described. No kitchen and limited plates bowls cups etc, but as described. There was a sign near the fridge that said “no alcohol” which is the only thing that was not in the description on the listing. It wasn’t a big deal but should be disclosed if it’s an actual rule for the property. Overall great location, great property and would recommend for the Hilo area. Thank you for the stay!"

"Our family enjoyed our stay at the Charming Hilo House. We were here only for 3 days and the house was centrally located to the shopping mall, market, and all the places we needed to be for our 2-day family events.The owner‘s brother greeted us when we arrived, and we chatted for a while. From the outside you couldn’t tell, but once you were inside, the home was very spacious, clean, and accommodated our family of 8 adults, 1 child & 2 infants. Love the large living room (A on Roku), kitchen/dining area and the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms met all our needs. No air conditioning, but that was okay as the fans help and the coqui frogs also help put us to sleep. Love the fact that you had checked-out instructions, but what suggest you get new hampers. We certainly enjoyed our weekend at your Charming Hilo home!"

"My husband and I stayed here while exploring Hilo. It is a great location -- close to restaurants and attractions in town, and not too far from the botanical garden, waterfalls, and other area activities. The host was responsive to all communications and provided helpful information within the unit. We enjoyed our stay!"
