Wistful on Waianga is located directly over the road from the golden sandy beach of Omapere in the Hokianga. BYO SHEETS,PILLOWCASES & TOWELS You will find a comfortable holiday home, open plan living/kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms, 1 is in the mezzanine floor. Two dining areas to choose, the covered outdoor dining area or enjoy the view from inside at the kitchen island dining area. The kitchen is generously equipped with everything you should require to whip up gourmet meals every night. A huge deck runs across the front of the house providing you with endless views of the sand dunes, the harbour & out to the fierce Hokianga bar & harbour mouth. To keep you connected we have just installed superfast unlimited fibre, hooks you up fast with multiple devices being able to connect simultaneously. There is a Chromecast for the smart tv if you want to watch Netflix or anything else via the net. Alternatively bring your skybox & cables it’s all set up for sky. This is a family Bach& not quite the Hiltonso we have some quirky things. We say embrace the Mccabb Bring your boat there is plenty of parking and the boat ramp is less than 1.5 km from your accommodation. The warm clear Hokianga waters are abundant with fish just waiting to be hooked. If you don't fancy going out on the boat stay in, meander thru the garden cross the road and you will find yourself standing in the middle of one of the beautiful Hokianga golden sandy beach's. The Hokianga has something for everyone. Situated just 3.5 hrs from Auckland city you will slip into Holiday mode as soon as you arrive. It's a different pace of life there. Visit Tane Mahuta- Lord of the Forest and largest living kauri in the world. The new Manea centre in Opononi & travel back in time to Walk in Kupe’s footprints. Kupe is believed to have been on the first waka to land in the Hokianga Head to the famous sand dunes for sand surfing, there is plenty of water taxis waiting at the Opononi jetty. Take one of the many fishing charters available. Visit Rawene or Waimamaku just 2 of the many historic Northland villages with cafes and art galleries to visit around every corner. The almost famous Opononi fish n chip shop is only a 2 minute drive. Enjoy a meal and drinks at the luxury Copthorne Hotel and Resort the kids can swim while you are enjoying the famous Northland hospitality. Back at Waianga the sunsets from the deck are unbelievable, Even more so with a chardy or a cold Heineken in hand.... Lovely views and deck and so handy to the beach for sunset walks. Lovely base to explore this quiet area. A little too close to road meant ear plugs needed. Very comfortable and clean accommodation with everything that we needed supplied (apart from sheets and bath towels, although this was disclosed in the listing). Everything you needed for a stay away. Amenities were on point, right down to even having a coffee machine, air fryer and a bottle of milk in the fridge. AMAZING. There were a number of items in need of repair such as the bathroom light and the lock box. Only downfall for us, was that even though the property is pet friendly, its not fenced so we couldnt allow our fur baby to freely be outside and just relax, with the main road just below a worry, however great areas across the road for walks and the beach. ##### Hannah W.
