This 3-floor, 2-bed/2-bath townhome comfortably sleeps 6\. Enjoy stunning, unfiltered views of the legendary KT-22 from floor-to-ceiling windows. Features a cozy fireplace, full kitchen, and a large deck. Perfect for families and adventurers seeking a mountain retreat with fast Wi-Fi and dedicated parking. We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up. Our home is the closest townhome in the complex to the parking lot at Palisades Tahoe. You can walk to the village but, you do need to walk down a small hill to the Squaw Valley road. The property is right across the street from the main parking lot on the hillside and will literally take you a couple of minutes to cross the street to get to the village and lifts. We overlook KT-22 and Shirley Canyon. Olympic Valley is a magical part of Lake Tahoe, sitting at the base of the Palisades Tahoe ski resort. With the Village just minutes away, guests can walk, drive, or take the shuttle to enjoy the hustle and bustle during both the Summer and Winter months. Peruse the many shops, enjoy a warm apres ski cocktail, or feast at any of the restaurants located at the base of the mountain. There are also some great hiking trails during Spring, Summer, & Fall that reward you with incredible views of the area. When you stay in Olympic Valley you enjoy another side of Lake Tahoe. Rustic luxury is what you can expect in this area, along with majestic views, world-class skiing, and tons of other activities for the entire family. Palisades Tahoe is also home to the US Ski Team so be on the lookout for some of our hometown heroes! Although tucked away, you are a short drive from the quaint town of Truckee which is home to plenty of great shopping and restaurants. Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City are also a short drive away. Tahoe City has some great beaches, eating spots as well as all your necessity shops like CVS, Save-Mart, etc. Guests will have full and private access to the entire home with the exception of a couple locked owner spaces. This charming 3-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bath townhome is the perfect retreat for families or groups of up to six guests seeking both adventure and relaxation. Main Living Area: The main floor features a cozy, step-down living room with vaulted ceilings, a warm fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the KT-22 ski lift. Unwind on the built-in couch and stream your favorites on the TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Roku. The open-plan layout flows into a dining area for six and a fully-stocked kitchen with newer appliances, coffee, and spices. To get to the home, you take the 89 and take the Squaw Valley Road turn off. Once you’re in the Valley (less than a mile), you will see Squaw Valley towering above you and the Olympic flame burning! . There is only one main road in the area, and the Palisades Tahoe sits at the end of the road and at the base of the ski slopes. Olympic Valley is only 8 miles from Tahoe City, where you will find beaches, shopping, restaurants, and more. In the other direction (North of Olympic Valley), you will find the small and lively town of Truckee and access to Hwy 80. We went up to Tahoe for a weekend skiing. The location of the property was excellent and we walked to the village and ski lifts easily. Everything described on the listing was accurate and we were impressed by the quality of the kitchen utensils. Property manager was quick to respond. This place was so perfect! We went for the Broken Arrow Skyrace running weekend and we never had to drive. We walked back and forth from the village all weekend, which made it super easy with kids. The house also worked well for kids and adults. Great layout and size. They also communicated really well and were flexible with check in time. The view of the ski area is really gorgeous. The unit is a bit ‘70’s dated but very comfortable. The dishwasher is not robust even after rinsing dishes and could use an upgrade. ##### John O. Great location. Did a week ski vacation at PalisadesTahoe with my godson and family. This house was perfect for us. Easy walk to the slopes. House was well-stocked both in the kitchen and in the bedrooms. Heaters were easy to use and provided optimal comfort especially the cute little furnace in the living room. Bathroom situation worked perfectly and the living area was both spacious and comfy at the same time. Would definitely go back again. ##### Mike S. We were greeted with a condo that was so clean that you can eat off the floor. Kitchen was well equipped with good quality pots and pans, not to mention knives that are sharpened. The beds were comfortable and the living area has a spectacular view of the mountain and the village. Very convenient location with just a short walk to the Village at Squaw. It's a somewhat older condo, but clean and well kept. There were plenty of towels, linen, and kitchen supplies. It has a great view of the Squaw area. But, unfortunately, there was no outdoor patio furniture and a grill for us to enjoy the great view of Squaw on the outdoor deck. But, this very well could have been due to the local restrictions on having any open flames due to extreme fire danger. ##### Stephen K. While the location of this unit is nice, you have to access it via a steep driveway that was not plowed, making it difficult when we arrived in a storm. Typical 1970s construction which lended itself to multiple levels, (not good for those with any ailments) and the unit smelled. Other than the odor, the unit was very clean and the little pot belly stove provided great warmth. The property is older but in a great location. Perfect for a ski weekend. We had issues with the heating in the main living room. Despite contact the property manager and owner we were unable to getting it fixed They did not come out to fix during our stay which surprised me. This meant that it was pretty cold in the main area of the condo. I would definitely stay again if this issue was addressed and would probably come again even if not fixed and just move around the provided space heaters. ##### Christo S. Plenty of space for everyone and loved the open downstairs living area. The home had everything we needed. There's no AC but the home stays at a good temp during the day and cools down nicely at night. The Property Mgr was very communicative and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. My husband and daughter enjoyed hiking the Squaw hills right outside the condo. We were very close to Tahoe City where we made candles and went river rafting down the Truckee River. Also, loved walking and riding bikes on the near by trails along the River. We even took a drive down to South Tahoe City to enjoy some amazing views and Archery! This was a great home to retreat to in the evenings, in a convenient location right across the main street from the resort. The views are beautiful, and the beds and fireplace are cozy; my older son loved the loft. The owner/management team was very helpful and communicative in making sure we had everything we needed. Also, the board game closet was a highlight. If you're driving in and out in winter/spring, just make sure you're a competent driver, as there is a sloped driveway that can get a bit icy. ##### Laura T. A lot of the lights are burnt out. They need to be replaced. The rental management probably doesn't realize because they only go there during the day. It was a bit tricky to get logistics for checking in and also it was a bit tough to actually get in the rental once we were there in the dark but once we were in, no troubles at all. Property was as described. Kitchen was fully stocked and was perfect for cooking breakfasts and dinners. Very warm and comfy beds. Great DVD selection. They do not accept service animals due to a family allergy so if you require a service animal, look elsewhere. I would come back to stay at this property again. ##### Brittney D. We were 2 grandparents with little kids. Place was equipped with Pack and Play for baby crib which lessened stuff we had to bring. And big surprise was number of kid books and games. The 5’year old wanted to be sure I praised the game selection. The kitchen was probably the best equipped that I’ve seen in such a rental. Arrangements were all very good. Even the stairs were a plus. They were slightly shorter step up than usual and feasible for a toddler. The other terrific thing is the management company. We had a slight problem; and they were immediately responsive. Again, this place was way above other rentals I’ve had.
