"The proprietor Rose was clueless about VRBO and stated the room we reserved was already occupied. Her spouse Gino was away for the night - and she didn’t know what to do. I suggested we needed a room for the night, if she would be kind enough to direct us somewhere.
We found a 3star hotel 2 blocks away luckily.
Next day Gino also tried to deny any knowledge of our booking. After showing him my reservation number and confirmation, as well as email correspondence we had exchanged earlier, he...

The bustling fish market and Moorish-influenced architecture make Olhao's historic centre a photographer's paradise. Hop on a ferry to explore the pristine beaches of Armona and Culatra islands in the Ria Formosa lagoon.
Safe, quiet, convenient, short walk from the station, harbour, shops, restaurants and the walled old town.
A warm and friendly welcome at check in.
Very comfortable rooms.
Great breakfast served on the rooftop terrace.
Highly recommended for a stay in Faro.

The property was finished to an extremely high standard throughout, with fantastic, cosy, cottage like rooms which made us want to spend more time there in the evenings. The hotel was never busy, it only has 9 rooms I believe, and so we were often all alone by the pool which was lovely.

Perfect spot to stay in the centre of São Bras de Alportel, with easy parking to then explore on foot. A range of restaurants and cafés, plus a local supermarket and Pingo Doce if you want to take a snack back to your room, to eat on your balcony.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Hotel is traditional, but has modern air con with a lift for all floors. The rooms are well kept and very clean, with a mini fridge and flat screen TV.
Thank you Monica and the Breakfast chef for a lovely stay.
