I am wishing all the best of health to all while encouraging you to follow guidelines set forth by Government in hopes of decreasing the prevalence of Coronavirus.

We are all in a place of uncertainty and anxiety about the future. However, we need to take care of ourselves and make the best of a difficult situation.

This home has everything you need and more for your beach vacation! Friendly, private beach community located in the small New England Coastal town of Westbrook, CT. Chapman Beach has 5+ different beach areas to choose from, separated by jetty’s. One being less than 1/2 block away while the furthest is approx. 2 blocks. Great area for walking, biking, swimming, boating, crabbing, etc. Visited by the traditional ice cream truck most evenings during season. Enjoy weekly movies on the beach and other scheduled events throughout the summer. Don't forget to catch the sunrise at the beach while your there! Gorgeous!
Due to Covid event scheduling can change. Please check information board at main beach for schedule.

This homes interior has recently been renovated and redecorated with love for a mix of the old and the new. Open space living on the first floor with a full bath, 3 bedrooms and 1/2 bath on second floor and bonus room on the third floor for those pop in guests or a rainy day hang out! There is a large back yard with outdoor shower & porch. The entrance has a large screened in front porch. Off street parking for up to three vehicles.
The kitchen is fully equipped and basic daily cooking needs will be provided... herbs, oils, condiments.
The living space is open and airy yet separate. There is a propane fireplace if there happens to be a chilly night. There is heat for the off season getaway. In the warmest days air conditioning will be provided yet opening the windows at night for the cooler, fresh sea air is recommended.
Unplugging as much as possible from technology is highly recommended. But for those who need to work remotely there is WiFi, basic cable and streaming access ie. Netflix

A day at Waters Edge Resort is available. To arrange I would need to call at 8a the day you would like to go and use facilities. I then would meet you there to sign in...$20 for first guest and $10 each for up to 4 more. Westbrook is centrally located on the Connecticut Shoreline off of I95 making many of Connecticut's attractions within a short drive. It is home to beautiful beaches, great dining, Waters Edge Resort and Spa, Outlet shopping and Movie Theater. The Westbrook Train Station has free parking and is a pleasant way to visit other local shoreline towns. Also, you can take it to New Haven and catch the Metro North Train easily across the platform to New York City. Amtrak comes into the Old Saybrook train station which is only about 10min from here.

Whether your laying low and staying local, up for some site seeing or a little of both, Chapman Beach is a great location to start from!!! Hope to meet you soon!

The shoreline towns west of the Connecticut River to New Haven are connected by the Shoreline East Railway.
May I recommend planning a day trip where you take the train to a town or New Haven. Our family has done this and it is fun and different. Guilford downtown and New Haven are the most accessible via walking. For those who love old time architecture, great shops and many unique restaurant, New Haven has it all!!!!
Love visiting here to get my city fix.
Not to big, not to small!! ✌️

5/5 Excellent

Nice and easy
We had a nice weekend away. It was located in a row of cottages and was very clean. The decor was very cute and inviting. There was a beautiful little beach a stone's throw away and lots of restaurants, outlets, and bigger beaches nearby. Thanks again!

Cozy Gem
This cottage is the epitome of coziness! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. As soon as you walk in you feel the attention to detail that creates such a welcoming feeling. It feels like home. The small beach is around the corner and we enjoyed our time perusing the shells and taking in the the sunrise and sunsets over the calm waters. It's very quiet and we loved being met by bunnies in the garden and bird songs in the morning. Mel is a wonderful host and she has all the bases covered. There are helpful notes throughout the home to help you get settled and plan what to eat or do in the area. This is definitely a gem in all aspects and we will be back again next year!

Wonderful experience!
From the start, Mel has been responsive and wonderful, and the home was just as we imagined! Beautiful and cozy, it was perfect for a weekend with friends. A short 3 minute walk to the beach, and we got a chance to interact with the lovely neighbors, enjoy the backyard, and have some laughs. Thank you, Mel, for sharing your home with us and for allowing us to make so many wonderful new memories!
