"We loved staying here and plan to visit again. Only a few issues. 1.Some of us had our showers start to get cold towards the end. 2. There were stains on some of the towels. 3. As I was putting the sheets on the bunk beds I noticed there was hair and debris surrounding the mattress as well in some of the sheets."

"Big Meadow is rustic luxury in a beautiful setting. Much like the other lodges/inns along the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway, it offers a great place to land for a few days to hike, explore or just take in the majesty of the Shendandoah's. The rooms are comfortable set among the trees and property. The dining options are a good value. You can get breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks in a variety of ways. The people were very friendly and accommodating. It was just a terrific place to unwind and unplug (wi-fi and internet are almost non-existent in the rooms but you can catch up, if you must, in the lodge and the TV only gets 11 channels). For us, it was EXACTLY what we were looking for."

"This spot was perfect for my weekend hiking trip! It had everything I could possibly need for my stay & was a perfect distance from the national park. The winery/brewery across the street also had great drinks & food"

"We enjoyed our stay at this property and it was clean, well equipped with all the modern conveniences, and provided a nice alternative to a hotel. It was a good fit for us with our small dog and was a short drive to the places we wanted to visit. We were there for a long weekend and it is along a busy street so the only drawback was the traffic noise during the day."

"Very clean and quiet place to stay. Rooms were spacious and nice. Only thing I would have liked was a water dispenser in lobby and free juice in the morning. They have a restaurant for paid breakfast in the morning but I did not go there."
