Old Gaupne Church

The hotel was beautiful with amazing views of the mountains from the rooms and dinning rooms. The breakfast and service were excellent. The staff made us feel welcome. If Norway were closer to home, we would love to vacation with our children and grandchildren at the Myrkdalen hotel often.

We thought the room was really great - excellent bed and shower, everything very clean. Enjoyed the free breakfast, as well as restaurant and bar. We did ask once for a box of tissues from the front desk and were told there was none - this would be a nice item to have on hand in case another traveler has a cold like we did. Otherwise it was an excellent stay.
