You will be short walk from the Univ. of Oklahoma when you stay at this centrally-located home. The Isabelle has been recently updated with all modern amenities. The home is only one block north of OU and campus corner. The three bedroom two bath home is on a spacious corner lot with a wrap around porch. The backyard is perfect for relaxing by the fire pit underneath the string lights. The Isabelle was originally built in 1940 but has recently been renovated. The house maintains its original historic charm but hosts all the updated modern conveniences. It is named after our beloved dog Isabelle who was a true “Marley and Me” kind of story. Each bedroom is uniquely styled. The luxurious master bedroom has a king size bed, smart tv and ample storage. The middle bedroom has a queen size bed and smart tv. The third bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and smart tv. The living room has ample seating and lots of natural light. The dining room and kitchen offer an open floor plan with plenty of seating options. The kitchen is fully equipped to make a gourmet meal. The back screened in porch off the kitchen has an additional dining option. The backyard offers a great place to relax around the fire pit underneath the string lights. The front porch wraps around to offer two separate hanging chair options for lounging. Guests have access to the whole house, a covered back porch dining room and back yard siting area with smokeless fire pit, adirondak seating and bistro string lighting. There is a also a detached garage if needing to keep your vehicle covered. I live in the Oklahoma City area and if you need anything I'm available by phone or in person to help. The Isabelle is located one block North of the University of Oklahoma campus and just one block West of historic campus corner. It is a walkable neighborhood with and easy walk to eating and entertainment and to all events on OU campus. Guests have access to use the long private driveway. Because we are located on a larger corner lot, there is street parking on the west side of the house and on the street in front of the house as long as it is not the yellow curb zone at the extreme corner. So cute and clean. The beds were very comfortable. We had a few family members come over for dinner one night. The house is set up so you can spread out inside/out. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you might want or need. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook including a variety of spices. We also used the grill one night, and our teenage boys enjoyed using the fire pit to make s'mores. We enjoyed having coffee on the swings on the front porch in the mornings and playing corn hole in the evenings. We visited the quaint Midway Deli just right down the street and had some delicious sandwiches and sides. It is an older home from the 1940's so there are definitely some quirky features --like the master bedroom and bathroom not located next to each other. It all adds to the charm of the place if this works for you. The home is furnished and supplied as a working VRBO so you can find everything to make your stay comfortable. The only concern was that the front porch had significant rotting of the wooden slats which the owner states will be getting repaired in the future. This was a concern for our elderly relatives who stayed with us as they needed to use the pillars as a hand hold to get up the steps to the porch and needed to pay attention to their footing so they wouldn't break the rotting wood. We loved the porch swings and the backyard area. Lots of space for people to spread out. We would definitely stay here again on the next trip to Norman. ##### Mary W. The back yard had several areas; outdoor game options, TV, firepit, eating or just hanging out in the adirondack chairs. The front porch was very tranquill with the large lounging swing and other swings - perfect for drinking coffee in the morning & bird & squirrel watching. We loved the comfort of the indoors. Very spacious. You thought of everything, all we needed was to bring in our food. Our family enjoyed watching TV outside in the evening and the fireflies. We loved the location. Very close to campus and the houses around this area were all craftman style houses. Only suggestion, would be to add darkening shades to the master. It was so easy... reservations, check in/check out, information sharing, communication to the property owner, walking access to everything OU (restaurants, shops, campus, parks). The house has everything you can possibly imagine. We enjoyed a great fire while we kept up w/ our favorite Netflix show. The beds were super comfortable, all three bedrooms. House was very organized and decorated impeccably. Access to Bluetooth worked better than our house in Dallas (!) and the girls loved the swings. The only complaint we have is that we didn't get to stay very long. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay, this Texas Longhorn will be back! PS The OU Tour was pretty amazing as well, a perfect visit to dear Norman, OK. ##### Cindy C. We booked this home for 1 night on our drive home from a 14 day cross country adventure. The listing looked fantastic and in a great location. I knew we would be very tired by the time we got to Oklahoma so I wanted a nice place to relax before driving our last day home. The Isabelle did not disappoint! It is in a nice little neighborhood close to OU. The house has great curb appeal with a nice wrap around porch on the front. When entering the home we were met by a welcome board with our name on it. Nice touch! The house has been beautifully re-modeled & decorated. It is so wonderfully clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The back yard was fantastic and inviting. We attempted to sit outside and watch the LSU/Florida baseball game but the mosquito's chased us back inside. LOL! NOT the owners fault. We watched inside instead. Had a great night and a great meal and a wonderful nights sleep. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have time to stay longer! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
