As the saying goes, 'A bad day in Ocracoke is better than a good day anywhere else. You will look forward to staying in 'Better Days.' This home sits comfortably in the middle of a large, private yard, sheltered by many old cedars and oaks, with plenty of room for the kids to play. Spend the morning lounging on the large front screened porch with your coffee or a quiet afternoon reading in the hammock. Whether for a family gathering or simply getting away from it all, 'Better Days' is essential for the perfect vacation.

Three Bedrooms, 2 Baths: 1 with King, 1 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. One bath has a whirlpool tub.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, four cable TVs, and 2 DVD players. Washer and dryer.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

Outdoor amenities include a large front screened porch, porch swing and rockers, backyard deck, enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower, gas grill and park style charcoal grill, hammock, fenced back yard and fish cleaning bench (No Water). Double kayak. Life jackets are not provided. If you wish to rent them, please get in touch with Ride The Wind Surf Shop. They will be happy to assist.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly. Limit of 2 Pets. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Military Discount Available. Discount can only be applied at the time of booking.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

wonderful week on Ocracoke. This is our 3rd year in Better days. we have been coming to the outer Banks for over 35 years, mainly Hatteras Island. Ocracoke is by far the best. Better days is the best house we have ever stayed in. The amenities, the location and fenced yard and screened porch were all great. Thanks to the Gaskill's for a great home, and letting us stay there.

Better Days is a wonderful Ocracoke style house to stay at during our vacation. This is our third year here, and we look forward to our stay next year. Fenced yard, grill, backyard patio and screened front porch makes it relaxing, secluded and peaceful. Thank you and have a great year.

It was a very nice house. We have rented houses on the island for decades and this was by far the nicest one we have stayed in. Close to everything, very clean, everything worked and a fabulous kitchen. We bought seafood and cooked most nights. It was the perfect base of operations for the whole extended family - some spent more time in town and others on the beach - but we all met up later in the day for good food and conversation. We hope to rent this location again.
