Seahorse Retreat welcomes you to a tropical paradise filled with streams, waterfalls, and winding paths. Swim in the lagoon-style heated pool, and head to the beach for a walk down to the Pier. The kitchen features stainless appliances and smooth counters, and is equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. The living area with cozy fireplace is a great place to unwind after a day in the surf and sun, or perhaps a day of sightseeing. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a separate dressing area. Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet. As you walk through the staffed secure gate to oceanfront North Coast Village, you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican Rain Forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and Koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort-like beachfront condominium complex in Oceanside California. You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, sand rinsing stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant Koi is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit. When you venture through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat with volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back! Beach towels and chairs are provided with the condo. To the north, you can walk or bike to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to the south, you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed). North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer. The unit was exactly as described, the views of the ocean were great, the grounds of the complex were beautifully landscaped- just like a resort. The gym is well-equipped and the sauna and hot tub are wonderful. Wi-fi was great. We did not rent a car and were able to enjoy the week using the Coaster train system and walking. Very pedestrian friendly- the downtown attractions are a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. The staff members were friendly. You can be on the beach within a couple of minutes. There are beer/grocery stores within a short walk of the complex but we made a larger trip to a real grocery store to start the week.My one complaint- we arrived by Uber on Saturday the 20th, 20 minutes prior to the 3PM check-in and it was pouring rain. The guard at the security office was very unfriendly, and when I asked if we could go somewhere to get out of the rain until check-in or perhaps leave our luggage and get lunch, he acted like we were trying to bomb the place. He finally relented and let us go to the HOA office where a nice lady assisted us. However an attendant at the front office did not get us any chance neither to check in not to get in to relax at the pool. Multiple tiles were broke both in the bathroom and kitchen areas. Lock was broken on the patio door slider. The bed is very uncomfortable with the feet portion of the bed is higher than the head portion. Northcoast Village is a beautiful place to stay. And you are very close to the beach. ##### Andy H.
