"Lovely hotel, I have stayed there a few times a year for over 20 years. As much as I have enjoyed It the property is now tired and needs a renovation bad. Another big negative for not only me personally but also for many I know that won’t stay anymore is the $35 self parking. It’s across the street from the hotel and was always no charge until recent history. Most Daytona hotels do not charge to park. It will keep me from coming back. For this hotel a 3 star property it’s simply a rip off. Best luck to The Shores it has such great potential the be the star it was in the past."

"Great place. Easy get too. Enforce the no smoking policy frustrating totry sit on balconey. Or go hot tub with smokers. Especially when hotel is advertised as no smoking. Close beach. Otherwise great"

"This is my go to spot when I’m in town. Charles, the manager is very hardworking and friendly. He accommodates all of my requests and runs the establishment well. It’s right in the beach and feels more free than many of the resorts and motels in town. They recently added grills, which means you can grill overlooking the beach right outside of your room and watch the sunset at night over the beach. It’s a great value for money and I’ll be back!"

"from the time i booked until i left i communicated with the owner and was always very quick with any questions or concerns ! The house was large which was great for our family of 12! The property could use some updating for sure but overall was great ! The one thing i wasn’t happy with was the drop off the deck to get to the beach it was tough with 2 5 year olds a husband with 2 knee replacements and balance issues he really only went down to the beach twice which was disappointing ! Also i have a specialneeds grandaughter with a trach and a vent and was impossible to take her down without driving down ! I suggest extending the deck down to the beach because even for me i thought it was a little tricky getting down to the beach while carrying stuff down . another awesome thing was the abundance of bath towels wash cloths and tons of beach towels which was awesome i didn’t have to constantly wash ! with the exception of those few things we were happy with our stay !"
