#### From swimming with sharks or dolphins to watching a lively dance performance, you’ll find exciting activities all day at this popular attraction.

Spend a day at Ocean World Adventure Park enjoying its marine animal shows and outdoor activities. Arrive in the evening for an exciting dance party.

Purchase a park day pass, which includes many activities. Throughout the day multiple shows are presented at the dolphin, sea lion, shark and bird “stages.” Snorkel with colorful fish in the Tropical Reef Aquarium. Swim at Pirates Pool. Sunbathe at Dolphin Beach. Visit the Rainforest, Bird Exhibit and Iguana Habitat.

Consider booking other exciting activities for additional fees. Get a kiss from a dolphin after it gives you a ride. Share a wet hug with a sea lion. Swim safely among sharks. Join the Bravissimo Fiesta on Wednesday or Saturday evening, with Dominican and Latin music, dance and entertainment as well as plenty of alcohol. Opt for a Behind the Scenes tour of the park’s working areas.

Check with your cruise ship or hotel for any special excursion offerings including bus transportation, lunch and additional activities. Arrange a guide or check the day’s schedule as soon as you arrive to move around the park with an optimal plan for enjoying all the activities that interest you.

Book tickets online. Some fees are reduced for Dominican Republic residents. Reserve a wheelchair if needed check on any specific limitations for animal interactions. Children through age 3 have free admission. Ask for discounts for seniors and kids through age 12.

Bring your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Note that water bottles are not allowed in the park. If you will be swimming with the animals, leave your jewelry at home to avoid causing them any injury. At the end of the day you may want to purchase photos taken by the roving park photographers.

The park is open Monday through Sunday from morning to early evening, including holidays. Drive west from the Puerto Plata International Airport to reach Ocean World in about 40 minutes. Stop along the way in the city of Puerto Plata to visit Fort San Felipe, Victorian Times and the Malecon Puerto Plata seafront area.

The resort is on the smaller side designed similarly to a shopping center, with everything (restaurants, bars and nightlife) centered around the two pools. The bar staff is very friendly even if you don't tip them which isn't always the case in the DR (which was very nice to see). The Wi-Fi is weak when not in the front desk/lobby area, so plan accordingly if you need to work or need steady service. The front desk/check-in process was easy, dinner reservations have to be made either on the app or the reservation office around the corner from the front desk. The buffet is limited and very repeated, so we recommend making dinner reservations as much as you can. They were good! When sitting to eat at the buffet, its first come, first, serve and a bit of a free for all as opposed to someone sitting you like at other resorts, so better to plan when it's not the busiest of times. Guests get up early and put beach towels on chairs around the beach and pool whether they're there or not, so be ready to do the same (super annoying). The towels process is pretty pointless. The maid replaces a towel on a 1:1 basis, but if the towel is on a chair then she won't replace it so you essentially use the same beach towel the entire time you're there. Shower towels were replaced more often and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. Our maid was VERY nice and we made sure we tipped at the end!
