It is about 1.5 miles to the beaches at Bethany Beach. Beach Life has 3 bedrooms , 2 full bathrooms, 1 half bath, and access to a community center that has amenities galore - outdoor pool, gym, sauna, tennis, basketball court, beach shuttle service on the weekends, etc. Note - the amenities have a $38/week/person fee. There is no charge in the offseason (After Labor Day until Memorial Day). BEDROOMS Beach Life has 3 generously sized, comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom is inspired by a name that has to do with Beach Life. Bedroom 1 (Salt Life) is located on the first floor. It has a king-size bed, side tables with lamps, USB charging stations on side tables, side chair, ensuite bathroom with double sinks and separate lavatory, walk-in closet with hangers, dresser with mirror, and a smart TV. Bedroom 2 (Shore Life) is located on the 2nd floor. It has a Queen-size bed, side table with lamp, USB charging station on side table, closet with hangers, dresser with mirror, and a smart TV. Bedroom 3 (Sea Life) is located on the 2nd floor. It has a comfortable Full- size bunkbed with a twin trundle bed, dresser with lamp and mirror, USB charging station on dresser, closet with hangers, and a smart TV. 1st Floor The home's well designed eat-in kitchen has plenty of modern gray cabinets, granite countertops, a pantry closet, and stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen is an open concept into the Living Room. There is an island with 2 stools. The well stocked kitchen is equipped with a steamer, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, beer glasses, kitchen utensils, and kitchen appliances, and more! There is a kitchen table that seats 6 and a dedicated coffee bar with coffee filters provided. The Living Room has a smart TV, sectional sleeper sofa, and an oversized, incredibly comfy 2 person chair. The living room also has a ceiling fan and plenty of board games and puzzles. The welcoming foyer features a coat closet, shoe organizer, and access to the conveniently located powder room. In the two-car garage there are 5 beach chairs, 3 boogie boards, sand toys, a beach cart, and a gas grill. 2nd Floor In addition to the 2 bedrooms on the second floor, there is a full bathroom and laundry. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, you can (under age 6 free) purchase the amenities package, which includes access to the shuttle service to the beach on the weekends, outdoor pool, gym, sauna, etc. for $38 per person per week at the community center. There is no charge in the offseason (After Labor Day until Memorial Day). The keycard to access the Community Center is hanging by the shoe storage in the foyer. Outside Area A 18' x 18' patio with four lounge chairs, four table chairs, table and a bench. You can enjoy your morning coffee, dinner, have an evening glass of wine, or just relax in the backyard. Not only was there plenty of space to enjoy and feel relaxed, the extra touches were appreciated. Paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, napkins, cleaning supplies. New sponges for the sink! The pillows in the master bedroom could use replacement, including an increase in size to king sizepillows so the pillow cases fit. The includes grill, propane, and beach gear was a welcome attribute and was so helpful. The entire neighborhood feels safe, home-like, and peaceful. The pool area was gorgeous and we had two wonderful days there. Despite Hurricane Erin ruining half of our vacation, it would have been much worse if not for a nice place to call home. Towels (Beach, Pool & Bath) were not supplied and are usually the renter’s responsibility to supply. 2). Use of the Community Pool is not included in the weekly rate. The cost during our stay was $35 dollars per person for the week. 3). Bedding (Sheet) are also not included in the weekly rate. I regret we did not read this detail early on (in the fine print). For as much as we paid for a weeks stay, I feel the items mentioned above should have been included in our overall cost. With school age kids at home, We rent units for the summer quite regularly & never have we been required to provide our own sheets, towels or pay for the use of the community pool). To the owners defense: They make you aware of the option to rent these materials if desired. Because we traveled by automobile we had the option to pack our own materials, In the event we traveled by air, it would have been very costly to pay the additional fees for the weight of towels & bedding for a family of 4\. Overall it was a great stay. We enjoyed the unit. The owners were friendly & very informative. If we ever take another drive trip to Delaware we’d definitely stay here again. ##### Richard S. The home was updated, clean, spacious, and accommodated our family of 8 perfectly. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with a large community pool, gym, and other recreational areas. The owners communicated very well throughout the process and supplied things such as tp, paper towels, trash bags, laundry, dish, and hand soaps. The patio area had a lot of comfortable seating and a small yard area for ladder ball or corn hole. Tip- Bring bug spray if you plan on going out there. Beach access was only a few minute drive. Sparkling clean at check-in, beautiful decor, and lots of thoughtful items like beach toys, chairs, umbrella, games, and cooking utensils. Nice patio in the back for outdoor meals.
