You are literally on the edge of America at this breathtaking beach escape! Traditional Ocean Isle Beach Cottage Enjoy spectacular million dollar ocean, inlet, and island views from the front deck! We absolutely love the location of this house and the floor plan works great but the condition and cleanliness of this house has gone downhill over the last year. The house looks like it hasnā€™t had a deep clean in a very long time and really could benefit from one. Also, the queen beds are in terrible shape- one had a broken leg that had been taped together and the other sounded like it was about to fall through to the ground. Another thing that needs immediate attention is the large mice family that is living in the front yard. We took our teenagers. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate at the house often. The kids loved riding bikes daily to the Drift coffee shop. Thereā€™s a lot to do on the island. We enjoyed long gorgeous beach walks and the sound of the ocean every day. It was so peaceful. Jennifer is great to communicate with. No problems at all. Beautiful space. Front door had no glass in it which was an eyesore and safety issue. Inside was pretty clean. Outside landscaping looked horrible. There were bugs found in the house. Basically house was old and needed updating.Outside deck had loose boards. But the view of the ocean was fantastic! ##### Joy M. The house was clean, well appointed, and in the condition advertised. The view of the ocean from the front porch is spectacular, and the beach access is less than 100 yards away. Having access to beach chairs was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. The only negative was the pavement under the house was covered in a half-inch (more in some places) of sand from Hurricane Betty, as we arrived a couple of days after she passed through, but obviously, that isn't the owner's fault. It took me a couple of hours with a shovel to clear the sand downstairs, which I didn't want to do on vacation, but the cold beer afterwards was might tasty! ##### Jim A. The lights downstairs and on the back porch do not work, which made night time activities impossible. The living area was not even large enough for our family of four, though the house says it sleeps 10\. Landscaping needs a lot of work, it looks awful. Location and access to beach were great as were the ocean views. ##### Joshua B. Paneling was coming loose in some areas, but overall the house was clean and nicely decorated with beach vibes. Great floor plan for our family of 5 adults and 5 kids. Loft over the kitchen area is open to the living area and was especially enjoyed by the kids. I was naive to think we could walk directly across the street to the beach because the description mentioned the nearby public beach accesses. There is a house directly in front of this house which blocks the ocean view, but the lot to the right is vacant and there are no houses to the left, so we did enjoy ocean views. One of my favorite pass times was sitting in the rockers on the front porch. Overall, my family and I had a great time. ##### Penny T. It was at the very end of the island on a dead end street. It was very private and just a short walk to the beach access. Lots of parking at the house and the outdoor shower was nice especially because of how sandy everything gets. The kitchen table seats 6 so if you have 10, it would be very tight. The house itself was very messy when we got there though. The kitchen items werenā€™t cleaned (things like the stove and pans were dirty and needed cleaning before use) there was sand on the ground and overall the house was very ā€œworn.ā€ The interior Siding is coming off the walls, the floors were sinking in and soft, boards on the porch felt unsafe for our toddler to be on, door hinges were broken, the couch was stained. I understand this is a beach house, but it was much dirtier than we had hoped for. It has so much potential, but really needs some TLC. One thing that should be noted, is that the house comes with no basic amenities. You have to bring your own towels, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen dish towels, dish washing soap (even though they require you to wash the dishes) laundry detergent, and even bed sheets, which I felt was really strange and not well highlighted in the listing until you got check in/ instructions. ##### Sarah K.
