Then we warmly welcome you to our holiday home in the mountains in Oberstaufen!

With its three separate holiday apartments—Enzian, Primel, and Edelweiss—our house can accommodate up to 23 people in total. This makes it particularly well-suited for larger families, families who are friends, or groups of friends who want to travel together while still enjoying their own private space.

A House with History and Character

Our holiday home was built around 1900 and thus looks back on a long history. Following an initial major renovation in 1985, we completely renovated the house in 2022 with great love and care. Since its completion in June 2023, it has combined the special charm of a traditional Allgäu house with modern living comfort.

It was important to us to preserve the house’s original character while creating a place where people of all ages can feel at home—a place where families and friends can come together, explore the Allgäu, and enjoy their holiday together.

Three holiday apartments—one shared holiday home

The holiday home consists of three individually furnished and completely separate holiday apartments:

Enzian – Ground Floor | Up to 10 Guests
Our largest holiday apartment is located on the ground floor and can accommodate up to ten guests. A special highlight is the direct access to the spacious terrace. Here you can have breakfast together, wind down after an eventful day, or simply enjoy spending time together.

Another highlight is the hot tub—just the thing for relaxing tired legs after a long hike, bike ride, or a day on the slopes, and for ending the day on a cosy note.

Primel – ground floor | up to 5 people
The cosy Primel holiday apartment accommodates up to five people and is ideal for a family or a portion of your travel group.

Edelweiss – Attic | up to 8 guests
Our Edelweiss holiday apartment, located under the roof, accommodates up to eight guests. Its location in the attic creates a particularly cosy atmosphere and offers a lovely retreat after an eventful day in the Allgäu.

It’s precisely this layout that makes our house special: You can spend your holiday together while still having the option to retreat to your own holiday apartment at any time. This way, for example, grandparents, parents, and children can travel together without having to live in close quarters for the entire stay.

Enjoying Time Together

Since there are three separate holiday apartments, the house does not have a central common area large enough to accommodate all 23 guests at once. It’s important to us to communicate this transparently before you book.

However, the large terrace on the ground floor offers plenty of space to spend time together. Especially on nice days, it quickly becomes a gathering spot for the whole group—for breakfast together, afternoon coffee, or a cosy evening.

Oberstaufen PLUS—more included in your holiday

A special bonus of your stay is the Oberstaufen PLUS Card, which you’ll receive upon arrival.

This card allows you to take advantage of numerous recreational activities in the region during your holiday, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Depending on the season, these include, for example, mountain railways, ski lifts, and other recreational activities.

The Oberstaufen PLUS Card is an especially attractive benefit for families and larger groups: take the mountain railway up in the morning to explore the Allgäu mountains, and perhaps enjoy one of the many other recreational activities the next day.

The Allgäu—worth a visit any time of year

Our holiday home is the perfect starting point for discovering the diversity of the Allgäu.

In summer, green meadows, impressive mountain panoramas, hiking trails, bike tours, and beautiful lakes await you. Whether it’s a leisurely family outing, a challenging mountain hike, or a long bike tour—everyone will find their favourite route here. On warm days, the region’s lakes and outdoor pools invite you to take a refreshing dip.

Especially convenient for our cycling and mountain biking guests: you can safely store your bikes in a designated storage room. So nothing stands in the way of a holiday with your own bikes.

In winter, the region around Oberstaufen transforms into a diverse winter landscape. Skiing, sledding, and winter hiking ensure active holiday days in the snow.

Especially convenient for winter sports enthusiasts: In our shared drying room, wet ski and winter clothing as well as ski boots can dry after a day in the snow. That way, you can set off on your next winter adventure the following morning with dry gear.

Wellness after a day in the mountains

What could be better than simply relaxing after a long hike, a bike ride, or an action-packed day of skiing?

Our holiday home offers you two special options for this: a hot tub and a sauna.

Wind down the day in the hot tub or enjoy the warmth of our cosy sauna with an outdoor shower. The sauna is available for shared use by our guests and can accommodate up to four people.

Especially during the winter months, it’s wonderful to return after a day in the snow, store your ski gear in the drying room, and then relax in the sauna or hot tub.

Practically equipped for a relaxing holiday

In addition to those special holiday moments, it’s often the practical details that make a stay enjoyable. That’s why we offer our guests a variety of additional amenities.

There are secure storage areas for bicycles and sports equipment. The shared laundry room with a washing machine and dryer also allows you to wash and dry your clothes even during a longer stay.

A high-speed fiber-optic connection provides stable Wi-Fi throughout the house—handy for holiday planning, streaming, or even when you need to get some work done in between.

A Local Contact

Since we can’t always be there in person, we still want to ensure that you have a reliable contact person during your stay.

Our property manager is available during regular business hours and is happy to assist you with any questions or issues. This way, you can relax and enjoy your holiday while knowing that someone is there for you if needed.

Important to Know

In addition to the three holiday apartments, there is another small, separately enclosed living unit in the house that is permanently rented out. We therefore ask our guests to treat one another with respect and consideration.

Our holiday home is intended for families and groups of friends who want to spend a wonderful and relaxing time together in the Allgäu. Parties, bachelor/hen nights, and events are therefore not permitted.

Your temporary home away from home

For us, a holiday is one thing above all else: time together.

Time with family, with friends, and with the people who matter to you. Enjoying breakfast together, exploring the mountains, skiing, hiking, biking, laughing, and relaxing—and coming back at the end of the day with lots of new experiences.

That’s exactly the kind of place we want to create with our mountain holiday home.

Three separate apartments offer you that special combination of togetherness and privacy. Some can enjoy a cosy evening while others have already retired to their own apartment. The next morning, you’ll meet up again and start the next day of your holiday together.
