Great Location
It was a great experience to stay at Loas Amantes, they have a great location and it can be a little noisy but definitly worth it.

We had the superior master suite with a private balcony, the views and the vibe from this place is simply amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

Hotel is beautiful but way too loud around. They do warn you about the noise so it’s hard to reduce the rating but they aren’t kidding. Noise all night and all morning. The nightlife noise is understandable since you are at the center of it all, but the morning noise is hard to get away from. You can hear people talking, walking and cars starting at 6-7 am. The trucks delivering water was very noisy. Location is great!

We came for a wedding in Oaxaca with high expectations for this hotel. 4 nights costed us $16747 Mexican pesos (just over $1600 NZD), and although we were charged a premium price, our room only had a window that was about 10cm wide, no fresh air coming into the room and much less natural night. The street where the hotel is located is closed so our taxi dropped us off at the corner, there are no ramps or lifts, so you will always need to get the assistance to carry your bags if you’re placed on a higher level. The hotel is noisy at nights as there’s a bar within the hotel. The facilities and rooms are old. Also, the reception is a resemblance of what the place is like, as this is located in a small, old room that belongs more to a crappy hostel. The breakfast is included but for that price they should deliver with a lot more items and actually delivering with what they offer (eg. The menu states that the juice is 300ml but you’re lucky if you get 100ml). The rooms are filthy, the towels are old, I was given one with stains on it and when I requested fresh ones I was asked to signed a paper stating I received fresh towels like if we had any interest of stealing their old stock (yuck!). The cleaning lady (Luz Delia I believe) was very kind as well as the reception lady. The restaurant stuff was mostly rude, and asked for a tip since day 1 after breakfast, also every night we got asked if we were staying at that place, I didn’t want to be reminded every time I was staying there!

I stayed here several times. Staff is great. Location is perfect. Bar is great. Food is ok. Two cons this time: quality of bath towels and I found a cockroach next to my bed when I arrive.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel that is divided into two separate hotels across the street from each other. The rooms are old and in desperate need of upgrading. They don’t have any type of safety railings in the platform where the bed is located crating a very unsafe condition especially at night. Also the included breakfast is somewhat underwhelming and limited to four items. If you want anything extra you will be charged a fee. One positive is the friendly staff and terrace restaurant. In short if your looking for a centrally location in Oaxaca and can put up with the nightly noise from all the local restaurants until 2 AM then this is your place to stay.

Pros: Location is excellent for great shops & restaurants. Food is excellent and terraces are beautiful with beautiful views. Most of the staff was very friendly. Cons: Room was next to kitchen, very noisy from 6am onwards, also can hear very loud music coming from their terrace bar until around 11pm. Room had very little natural sunlight.

Super loud party on the roof until 1am - we asked to move and even pay for an upgrade and the hotel refused. If you are coming for sleep, avoid.

The hotel is lovely and the service excellent. It is also centrally located near lots of good restaurants, cafes etc. The only downside is that it is extremely noisy. The hotel is open and honest about this.

The hotel was recommended by few friends who stayed here before. Overall it was great, the location, the service. The room was a little small. We had a rooftop with a jacuzzi with great view but also little privacy since the restaurant of the hotel was right there. The shower in the room didnt drain propertly so every time we showered there was water in the room. The location is great and we were able to walk everywhere.

Welcomed to the property by a taste of their own mescal brand. Stunning modernist rooms and halls full of artwork. Upgraded to a higher category for a private rooftop terrace with a hot tub overlooking Santo Domingo! Both restaurants also have wondeful views of the historic center. Some leaks in the bathroom. Overall, an expensive but unique choice in Oaxaca.

I was surprised at the cost of the hotel . It was a small room just fitting two beds. The hotel space was small and compact and no amenities. The plus was the location was in the heart of everything. The people working there are helpful and friendly. The space is clean with beautiful decor.

Everything is very clean and pretty property, nice bar and delicious breakfast included, but it is not a family friendly place. Everything is super noisy at all times at night and very early morning, especially the bar and kitchen staff just throwing around stuff and yelling. Good pñace if youre on a party mode, but not if you want to rest and get to know around.

Oaxaca and especially the heart of the city, where our hotel is, is usually busy due to the templo de Santo Domingo and local shops. We hope to have you back soon. :)

I choose this hotel because of the proximity to downtown. The location was great, but I got a bait and switch with my room. I booked a large room, 413 sf with a long size bed and when I got to the property, they only had a 250 sf room with a queen size bed. This was very frustrating as the small room did not have the space needed for our luggage given the amount of time we were spending there. Upon checking they admitted they gave my room to another couple, and that they could not take them out. I overpaid for this room because of the size and them overselling was very irritating. No attempt to make it better during the stay, they actually pointed me to Hotels.com because that was my method of payment.

Excellent service from the people who work here, but the noise is extremely bad. It’s not only the outside people and cars noise, the worst comes from the hotel kitchen and bar, way too loud, you can’t sleep until 2 that’s when they close and they reopen kitchen at 6, so not a good place to rest and get your sleep. Beautiful hotel though, good water pressure and has great a/c and hot water.

The hotel has an amazing design and location. Rooms are super cool but they are so noisy it’s impossible to sleep at night cause the bar and restaurant it’s just above all of them and you can hear music and every step on the stairs that are built with steel. Fortunately we got some earplugs and we were fine.

The hotel is in the best location of the city and with the best views on the roof top restaurants, breakfast was great, the room was very dark and no windows very pokey, The hotel was a bit noisy early hours of the morning when staff are getting the restaurant ready, however I felt the hotel staff would easily rip you off as I enquired where is the best place to do a pcr test and was told the hotel will do it at a charge of 7500pesos when it's a 2min walk to find a laboratory that does a pcr test for 1500 pesos

Good looking boutique hotel and room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Tasty breakfast at the rooftop bar. The one big downside with this stay, is that it’s actually a bar, and no sound proofing at all. Our room had one bar next to it, and another one on top of it. Music, people walking in the stairs, and voices bouncing between the walls. Cannot recommend this as a hotel to sleep at, at all.

Los cuartos muy pequeños, sin opción a que entre la luz, extremadamente ruidoso , si no era la terraza donde había música haya la 1:00 am, de lo cual no me quejo pero si que subían y bajaban cosas por las escaleras desde la 1:00 a las 3:00 y a las5:00 am volvían a subir y bajar cosas para prepararse para el desayunos. El cuarto que nos tocó la primera noche , abajo de la cocina, si no olía a caño olía a mole y comida de la cocina. Debo de reconocer que tan pronto nos quejamos nos cambiaron de cuarto e hicieron un descuento. El personal del hotel muy amable y atento a resolver nuestros problemas. Excelente localización.

A/C didn't work well and it got hot some times. Can get very noisy if you're even remotely near the rooftop bar. My request to check out 30 minutes later was denied. Apart from that, very cool hotel. The restaurant/bar is fun and has a great view. The decor of the hotel is great. Spacious, comfy room.
