Beautiful Beachfront “Oasis by the Sea” in the Heart of Oak Bluffs!

This lovely, spacious, and beautifully appointed condo is just steps from the beach and a short walk to the heart of Oak Bluffs.

The condo has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an outdoor shower to use when returning from the beach, a balcony, comfortable furnishings, and an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. Enjoy the calming view from the spacious living room, patio, primary bedroom, and even the kitchen.

There is air conditioning in the living room and primary bedroom. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom, the en suite bathroom, the living room, and kitchen. In addition, the ocean provides a refreshing sea breeze throughout the condo.

The condo is just steps away from the Inkwell Beach and a trail for walking, jogging or biking to the famous Jaws bridge and Edgartown. You can also walk along the shoreline to Ocean Park, the Oak Bluffs ferry, harbor, and Circuit Avenue.

You can relax on the patio, swim, walk on the beach, bike, or jog on the trail. In addition, the unit is within walking distance of the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal, parks, and the heart of Oak Bluffs, with quaint shops, restaurants, entertainment, an arcade, and much more.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, air conditioner, ceiling fan, full bath, and a patio, which is also accessible from the living room.

The nicely appointed second bedroom has twin beds, a ceiling fan, and windows that offer a nice breeze. The second bedroom is adjacent to the second full bathroom.

The condo is painted in inviting hues of blue, white, and gray, complimenting the soothing water views and morning sunrise. The furniture is modern, comfortable, and recently purchased.

Enjoy an unobstructed view of the Nantucket Sound from the living room, kitchen, patio, and master bedroom. Watch the sun emerge from the water and enjoy the moon, which rises periodically over the ocean.

If you arrive by ferry, you can walk from the Oak Bluffs terminal to the condo, grab beach towels and beach chairs from the unit, and walk over to the beach within moments of your arrival. You can also walk into the heart of the town for a lovely meal, pizza, ice cream, apple fritters, or shopping.

A car is not essential; however, the rental comes with one parking space, right on the premises.

Getting Here

During the peak season, which is approximately Memorial Day to Labor Day, three major airlines fly directly onto the island of Martha’s Vineyard (MVY),  JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines. In recent years, JetBlue has extended service until mid October.

Cape Air, a regional airline with very small planes, provides year round service onto the island.

Another option is to fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and take a bus to the ferry. Plymouth and Brockton (P&B Bus Company) and Peter Pan are two companies that provide service from Boston to the Steamship Authority ferry in Woods Hole.

It’s best to purchase tickets in advance for air and bus travel. If you plan to bring a car, the Steamship Authority opens peak season ferry reservations in January. No advance reservations are needed to walk onto the ferry. However, you can purchase tickets online.

Beautiful getaway

We stayed here for 3 nights. The condo is beautifully decorated and very clean. Loved the balcony and the amazing ocean views. It was nice to have the beach chairs available. Great location, can’t say enough great things about this home and the owner was amazing to work with. Thank you!!! We will be back!

Perfect Location (Make arrangements for sheets and towels!)

The location is ideal with gorgeous views and within walking distance of restaurants and the Gingerbread village. The space itself is adequate. We’ve never stayed anywhere that didn’t provide sheets and towels but there are island services that provide them if you give adequate notice There were 2 of us and we stayed 3 nights; the sheet and towel service was 97. The Keurig did not work and we had bought both reg and decaf K cups. When we messaged the host, she questioned it saying it was new and she owned one that had lasted 10 years. She had someone come check it (who confirmed it wasn’t working). That person then went and bought a reg coffee pot and reg coffee. Not a huge inconvenience but didn’t necessarily appreciate being treated like we were incompetent or lying. Overall, the stay was nice and communication was quick.

Great condo. Perfect location.

This was our first visit to Martha’s Vineyard. Jennifer’s condo is very comfortable, clean and she has taken care to outfit it with all the things you need for a short stay. Her communication is great and we loved the location of being right at the ocean for those early morning swims and evening rests in the balcony.

The property is located in historic Oak Bluffs with gorgeous views of the ocean. I saw the sun rise and set over the ocean . You can walk to local businesses and restaurants. Every detail inside was perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. We will return and share with friends and family

Wonderful property

Excellent property, well maintained and very clean. Walking distance to downtown Oak bluffs. Woke up every morning and walked the seaway, a pure joy to see the water aerobics group in the morning. Even though the host provides a Kuerig and traditional coffee pot, I did walk to town for a morning coffee a few times. Pure Joy. I am working out a date for next year and hopefully be able to reserve this property. An Excellent 5 star experience.

All good very nice location and condo lovely and clean. Would suggest adding blinds or other to block light in the living (no window coverings at all) and in the primary bedroom we were out late some nights and wanted to sleep past 6 am and it was too bright. Also primary bathroom door does not lock or stay closed. Also some additional pillows would have been good for us!

Absolutely the best location ever!

I stayed at the Sea View retreat from July 14- July 19. The location is amazing; you walk across the street to the Inkwell beach; the VTA Bus which can take you around the entire MV island stops IN FRONT OF THE CONDO; walking to the center of town takes a few minutes, and you can walk from the Steamship Authority to the unit. But what is the most beautiful component of this two bedroom unit is the attention to details inside the condo. The subdued colors of the walls, the wall hanging quotations, the beautiful paintings, the little nicknacks in each room, the decorator pillows; I could go on and still miss items that should be noted. You felt as if you were in a beachfront oasis you never wanted to leave. There is not doubt in my mind I will return to this idyllic location. I left smiling all the way to the ferry knowing that I would return. Samimah and Jennifer, thank you so much for taking the time to make your home a place anyone would love to stay. Please know your efforts and the results were greatly appreciated.

Absolutely Wonderful!

From early communication before our stay to post-checkout, our experience at this residence was absolutely wonderful. The check-in process was keyless and seamless. We appreciated not having to keep up with a key between the two of us. Upon entry, we were met with wonderful scents, so much natural light, and a cool a/c breeze. We immediately started to relax. Our pre-ordered linens were there upon arrival. We quickly made our beds and began unpacking. There were plenty of hangers between the two closets. The home is tastefully decorated and there were so many unique and thoughtful touches including the amazing art, local menus, maps, and books about the island. The condo is right across from Inkwell Beach. During the week of July 4th, it was a bit noisy during busy times. Bring ear plugs if you are an afternoon napper or light sleeper, but you can't beat the location to the beach and the town center. We loved sitting on the balcony when it rained or just to enjoy the ocean view. We also appreciated the variety of beach chairs provided - very important and thoughtful for guests with mobility limitations. Grab your beach chairs and towels, walk around the corner, cross the street and you are on the beach! The smaller bedroom does get a little warm even with the ceiling fan, but overall this was a very enjoyable stay. High marks! I look forward to booking again!

Great location; Not so great amenities or hospitality

The unit is a beachfront location and convenient to the bus stop and downtown Oak Bluffs. The accommodations were basic and there were no efforts by the host to even welcome us (at the very least we should have been provided a bottle of water upon arrival). When we arrived, we could not find the place. We called the host and got a voicemail. We were not contacted until the next afternoon. Thank goodness we didn't run into any other issues that required the assistance of the host. Explicit directions on how to find the unit would have been helpful or at least the host should have asked when we were arriving so she could have been available should problems occur. Also, the host does not provide linens or towels which is inconspicuously indicated on the HomeAway site. I provide three stars because MV is a lovely place and I always enjoy myself there. However, this property did not offer many amenities or upgrades (e.g., air conditioning throughout unit) and was not worth the price paid. I've had much more elegant accommodations at the lovely inns on MV. If I were to rate the property alone, I would give it 2 stars.

Know before you go

Overall we were very happy with this property and our stay. I do recommend it and would stay again! I do not typically use VRBO so I will take partial responsibility for not knowing how to navigate the details of the listing, but I was not aware that linens and towels aren’t included. You have to arrange that in advance but don’t have the address until 3 days prior, so that was a hassle as we were traveling through many states. I didn’t know to plan for this and it was a hassle to do while traveling and just wanting to enjoy. It seems standard for the island and is on the listing, but I would like it in bold print and would be happy to pay extra per night to cover the linens. The only other issue was the door was opened when we arrived. Not unlocked but actually open. We were nervous to enter, I called and text the owner but no response so we went in. My husband shut the door and I tried the code from outside and it didn’t work. An hour or so went by and we needed food so we had to leave the condo with our stuff unlocked. Again, not really a big deal, I think MV is probably pretty safe. The only problem I had was my communication with the owner. She said she trusts her cleaning company to lock the door and treated me as though I was lying about the door being open and the code not working. I have no clue what I stood to benefit from it but she did reset with a new code and everything from then on was great. Location is perfect, condo is beautiful, and I do recommend!

Superb… Excellent… Amazing…. Relaxing

This was one of the best vacations ever!!! It was my 5th year wedding anniversary and the first time in Oak Bluffs… Weeks prior to check In Miss Jennifer reached out to me with a plethora of information about the island. She continued to be available through the day of check-in to answer all questions and to make sure check in was smooth!! And it was..Walking in the condo I was amazed!! It was immaculate and had everything we needed!!! But the view of the Inkwell beach was heavenly… The location was Perfect… the bud stopped right in front… we caught the bus to Edgar town and Tilsbury several times and Walked to oak bluff town center… the bus was easy to navigate which was great as we did not bring a car… I can’t stress enough how perfect the location is… and how beautiful the condo is… we enjoyed every minute and will be back!! Thank you so much Miss Jennifer for everything!!! Your hospitality is top notch!!
