We chose the hotel on the basis of location (easy walk from station, on a pedestrianised street), a listing in the Rough Guide and excellent online reviews. Excellent apartotel. Our studio was immaculately clean quite high end and well equipped. Kitchen had everything dishwasher washing machine microwave kettle iron ironing board. The location is good quiet but walking distance to main railway station and old town. Recommended.

The hotel is located in the quieter area of Nuremberg, away from the bustle of the market and in an area with some very pretty streets. The air conditioning was awesome - kept us going during a very hot spell in Germany. A very sleekly designed bedroom with funky light-up headboard too. What a lovely, small and friendly hotel in an excellent residential area near the city walls of Nuremberg. Very helpful owner, lovely staff, a cute little back garden and a really lovely breakfast area with conservatory. Will definitely stay again.

The ideal place for a business stay if your place of work is around Nuremberg Stein. For me that was right next door. With spacious and clean rooms, excellent amenities, bar and restaurant and an exceptional breakfast spread. Couldn’t have asked for more! Too that up with very friendly and professional staff!

Nice hotel with lovely helpful staff. In a good position within easy walking distance of main square. The work that is being undertaken can be disruptive, banging can be heard early morning and we were on the second floor. Once the work has been done it will be absolutely fine.

The room was spotless and excellent staff. Nothing was too trouble. Breakfast was delicious and you can order as much as you like.

I was first attracted to Hotel Elch for its history, but I got so much more than that. The building feels home-y and warm but elegant; though the building is old, the decor and facilities are modern; and the staff is ever so friendly and accommodating. I loved my stay here, and if I ever return to Nürnberg, I will stay here again.

Lovely modern hotel, staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and professional. Room was very clean, with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. These are not replenished on a daily basis however we were allowed to use the fridge to store our own milk in, even tho the fridge was stocked with expensive drinks/chocolates. Excellent location about three minutes walk from Metro station and fifteen minutes from main square and main train station. Lovely clean and very spacious rooms. Breakfast in hotel experience but excellent cafe only a few minutes away.

Great hotel at the doorstep of Nuremberg airport and next to Lufthansa Express bus stop. Bathroom is a bit outdated.
