Our guest house is 140 square meters and has a terrace both in front of the house and behind the house. You can accommodate your car in the associated spacious carport. Interior: Our holiday home is comfortably and comfortably furnished with sophisticated equipment. Downstairs is the living area with living and dining room, kitchen, bedroom and 2 bathrooms, upstairs another bedroom and a writing or play area. Living room: Here you can relax on the seating area, consisting of a 3-seater and 2-seater leather couch, armchair and coffee table, and listen to music on the soundbar or watch TV on the internet-compatible TV (satellite). Numerous hiking, cycling or riding trails lead you on your relaxing exploration vacation through the forests and to the dams and lakes. In addition to the wide range of sporting leisure options, it is certainly worthwhile to explore the sights of Oberberg and plan excursions. Here are just a few suggestions: 9.3 km away is the nature park "Panabora" with its heart, the treetop path, and the 40 meter high observation tower with a total length of 1\. 635 meters. Enjoy an exhilarating view of the Bergisches Land nature park! On the edge of the tranquil climatic health resort of Reichshof Eckenhagen - 12 km away - is the "Monkey and Bird Park", a leisure paradise on 80,000 square meters with over 180 different animal species, an indoor hall and much more. In the Museum Axle, Bike and Carriage in Wiehl - approx. 7 km away - the approx. 5, 500-year history of development and manufacturing of the carriage construction becomes clear. Up to 4,000 year old ceramic and bronze models of covered wagons, chariots and cult wagons and over 40 farm wagons from the 17th to 20th centuries. Century are shown. Here you will also find the well-known Wiehler stalactite cave, which was discovered during blasting in 1860\. The crystal grotto, a former cave lake lined with salt crystals, is very beautiful. Monika was a very welcoming, kind and generous host, always ready to help, even lending us her private physiotherapist in the unfortunate case of a seriously sprained ankle. Niederbrol is a small village with an abundance of walking paths that can be reached directly from the house. Highlights from our stay where the 'Musikalisches and kulinarisches' (live concert with buffet) at Schloss Homburg in Numbrecht and a trip to the immensely impressive Altenberger Dom in Odenthal. ##### Cees K. Het huis is ruim en schoon en alles wat je nodig hebt is er. De tuin is erg ruim en ook heel privé. Ook daar staan alle meubels en kussens die je wilt. ##### Sieto I. Nichts fehlte im Haus und ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet Unsere Gastgeber, ein sehr herzliches Paar und so wurden wir auch empfangen. Der Kühlschrank war mit Getränken und frischen Eiern bestückt. Eine gut gefüllte Obstschale stand ebenso da. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen. ##### Karl Juergen V. Eines der schönsten (und luxuriösesten) Häuser seit langer Zeit. Wir haben 2 Wochen des Spätsommers 2023 in diesem wunderschönen Haus, eigentlich ist es ja doch schon fast ein Anwesen, verbracht. Die Bilder auf FeWo hatten bei uns bereits im Vorfeld freudige Erwartungen geweckt und diese wurden nicht enttäuscht. Eigentlich wurden sie sogar übertroffen. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll modernisiert und eingerichtet.. Die bis in den First offene Decke im Wohn-/Essbereich lässt den ohnehin großen Raum noch größer und luftiger erscheinen. Die moderne Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was das Herz begehrt, sogar die Messer sind scharf. Das Schlafzimmer ist ebenfalls groß und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Zum allerersten Mal fanden wir mehr als reichlich Schrankplatz für die Unterbringung unserer Kleidung vor. Das Bad ist eigentlich eine Wellness Oase mit einem wundbaren LED Sternenhimmel. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft wärmstens empfangen und das sowohl von der Dame des Hauses, als auch vom beeindruckend großen und beeindruckend freundlichen Haushund. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatten wir immer wieder sehr schönen und warmen Kontakt mit beiden und konnten den einen oder anderen Tipp betreffend die Umgebung erhalten und auch umsetzen. Wir können das Landhaus Balu nur jedem empfehlen der, oder auch die, einen gemütlichen, ruhigen und angenehmen Urlaub in einem wunderbaren Haus verbringen möchte. Wäre es möglich mehr als 5 Sterne zu vergeben, wir würden es tun. ##### Detlef B. Das Landhaus Balu ist komfortabel eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber und in gutem Zustand. Die Angaben im Inserat treffen absolut zu. Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin war freundlich und informativ. Zur Begrüßung fanden wir Getränke im Kühlschrank, eine gut gefüllte Schale mit Obst und einen schönen Blumenstrauß vor. Das ist schon etwas Besonderes !! Den hinteren Teil des riesigen Gartens hat man wirklich für sich allein, hier kann man gut entspannen. Die vielen Kleinigkeiten - Filtertüten Gewürze, Spülmaschinentabs, Küchenhandtücher usw. , die man oft in Ferienhäuser mitnehmen muss, waren alle vorhanden. Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen - ruhig !!- an einem Hang. Man braucht ein Auto. Essen gehen kann man gut in Nümbrecht, sehr gepflegter Ort, und in Waldbröl. Hier gibt es einen sehr schönen Baumwipfelpfad. Alles an dieser super Ferienwohnung ist makellos, der Empfang, die vielen Extras (sogar Blumen und Obst), die Einrichtung ist schön, alles ist sehr sauber, prima Betten, ein tolles und geräumiges Badezimmer, eine sehr schöne und ruhige Umgebung (auch zum Wandern), um das Haus herum kann man an beiden Seiten ungestört den schönen Garten genießen. Wir haben sehr viele Ferienwohnungen in den vergangenen Jahren besucht, dies ist die beste, sie verdient mehr als 5 Sterne. ##### Jean G. We are experienced holiday home renters and we can truly say that from the warm reception to departure, this is truly a gem of a luxury holiday home. Friendly and very hospitable owners who really aim to make their guests feel at home. A beautiful big fine house with very spacious rooms, a beautiful spacious bathroom, a high quality bed, luxury linen, good heating, triple glazing, partly high ceilings, a spacious garden with good furniture, quiet surroundings, good kitchen, carport for the car. Very clean and equipped with everything a person on holiday could wish for, so much better than a hotel. From the garden you can walk straight up the hills and into the woods for beautiful walks. A good mix between privacy and an occasional chat with the owners. We really enjoyed it and hope to be able to enjoy this beautiful house and its friendly hospitality again in the future. ##### Emiel V.
