Unico Hotel Riviera Nayarit - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Overall, I felt the property was beautiful. The restaurants were delicious, even though a lot of the meals were quite salty, but the room service was great. The beach side is okay. There are definitely people that will come up to you trying to sell you different products, which is probably not enjoyable, but that's not necessarily the resort's fault. We ended up getting a massage that would have been ridiculously overpriced at like $900 US for a couples massage, which was outrageous and kind of ruined my taste I had for the hotel. And then also, I needed sunscreen one day. I tried to go to the gift shop, and they tried to sell me sunscreen for $35, which was not enjoyable, but then I realized they had sunscreen at the pool in a little bottle. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but probably would not go back to it again, but the food was phenomenal, especially for an all-inclusive. And the staff was very nice and accommodating."

"Hotel Riu Vallarta was lovely. We especially enjoyed having the beach so close, as well as all the buffets :) we really took advantage of both. The evening events were really enjoyable and family friendly. We really appreciated that as well. The service at the buffet was impecable. They really make you feel like a VIP. The bar where most people were heavily indulging in alcohol was well hidden from the family friendly areas. The events staff really did a good job of keeping the vibes high. My wife did hurt her knee pretty bad, I inquired about crutches, was told they’d get back to me, and they didn’t until two days later, and had forgotten that I asked for crutches in the first place. We also asked for plastic bags so she could ice her knee. We got some day 1 but then magically on day 2 the entire resort ‘didn’t do plastic bags.’ This was all pretty frustrating and unfortunate. ALSO! If you have a promotion for free credit, it’s not what you think. We got $500USD in credit, and we’re planning to use it in the spa. But the credit can only be used to apply a very small discount to resort services such as photographs, snorkelling, and of course the spa. For example the spa treatment my wife and I wanted was $298USD I believe, and we could only use $15USD of the credit towards it. So to use all of the $500 of credit, theoretically, we’d have to spend thousands of dollars. It just doesn’t seem worth having a credit system at all."

"I was greeted immediately. Very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed this day. I wish these dinner menu was a little more extensive but it seems more of a Business hotel? Red destination or people that are traveling to the airport. I was very grateful they accepted dogs but it is a bit spendy to have a dog's day. Other than that the complimentary shuttle was very convenient. Definitely would stay there again. Beds were super comfrey if you're English speaking, it took a little bit of a learning curve, but you can change the language on your TV. Super clean"
