We loved the view! River felt an arms-length away. Watching the sun go down over the river was was sublime. Bed was comfy, place was spectacularly located… and morning breakfast overlooking the river was spectacular. We’ll be back!

Really lovely spot, with an enchanting main lodge and really great staff. The rooms are extremely basic, but clean and exactly what you would expect. You go there for the view, proximity to the great Little town. I was a bit disappointed that the dining room was close the night I was there, but the local pizzeria was excellent.

Room had wonderful view of the river! Nicely renovated and friendly staff. Wish room had a mini fridge though. There did not appear to be an AC. A fan would also be a good idea.

We stayed 2 nights on 2 different weeks in October 2026. This is a property to choose for its location: peaceful, gorgeous setting with every room provided a sitting area (patio or balcony) overlooking the river, only a few steps away. The staff are pleasant, too. Free parking. Downsides are that this is an older motel-type property. Rooms accessed by a short flight of stairs. No real amenities in the rooms: no desk, no fridge or microwave, not even a kettle to make coffee or tea. Tiny TV, internet kept cutting out. No grab bars in the shower. There is a gourmet restaurant on the premises. The food is great, but we found the menu a bit sparce and rather overpriced for the quantity. Great view from the dining room, though!

We stayed on the motel side this time. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the water. No fridge or air conditioning in our room, but it fits the feel of the place and takes you back a few years. The main building is a wonderfully quaint inn in which we have stayed twice. It has really nice rooms overlooking the river. The sunsets are spectacular. We had breakfast and supper both days in the dining room which is just beside the water. Food and service are first class. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy the simpler things.
