Beach is reasonable, but not excellent. Upgraded room on arrival which was lovely. Negatives : the food was great, but lacking in choice. 2 out of the 4 white wines were unavailable, as were other simple ingredients which were on the menu: i.e. vanilla ice cream! The service in the restaurant was inattentive. Very large with huge balconies with drying racks and a large bathroom. Lovely decorations. The spa is also quite nice and the landscaping well done. Don't eat at the restaurant. Some staff in the bar are surly and the orders and bills were always wrong. They try, but for the price it is not worth it. There is a cute beach-front café less than five minutes walk down the beach (next to Sakalava Dive) that has good, inexpensive food and a big menu (though service is also slow). Hotel is good for breakfast though. The desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. There is a well-stocked gift shop and a tours desk where it is easy to book excursions for the next day or later in the week.
