The rooms were clean. The staff consisted of the woman who was leaving and told us our keys were in the lockbox. Which was the last time I saw anyone in our 3 night stay. We asked about the bar and she said it's been closed for a few years. No restaurant either. Positive was our group of 6 had the place to ourselves. So if you need extra towels, you may want to bring your own. Positive side was it was quiet.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and check-in/checkout was easy. Weather stripping for entry doors could help minimize corridor noise.
We went up for Groundhog Day and got a perfectly nice hotel room for the nights we were there. Wish we had access to the closed bar and grill just so we had somewhere to sit and eat dinner, but the beds were comfy and great for what we needed!
The hotel was near and clean. The rooms were very nice, the only thing that would make it perfect would be get some small fridges in the rooms. Otherwise everything was great
Check in was easy and fast and remote. No contact needed for our late arrival. I have stayed here many times and never had a bad stay. Will always stay here when i visit Northern Cambria.
We arrived much later than expected and lock box didn’t work. Management was very helpful in getting the lock box open. Was a warm and cozy room. Very clean. Would recommend to friends and family.

Everything was great except for one thing I know it’s an old building and you expect to wait for hot water, but I waited almost a half hour And the water Even Luke warm When I took a shower. Other than that, I have a wedding to go to the left me check in a little early, which was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean.
This property turned out much better than I expected from the pictures. Bar/Restaurant is closed since Covid times, so it is just a quiet simple place to rest. We had everything ready for our arrival, it was self check in. I suggest taking showers in the evening, because it is an old building and boiler is very slow to hit up, so in the morning you may run water for 15 min before it warms up. Giant Eagle and Dollar General and Sheetz are very close, across the hotel is an old church, police is one block away, so it is very safe and convenient place to be. And only 30 miles from Punxsutawney:)
The hotel and accommodations were nice and what we expected. What we did not expect was for their to be no staff on duty during the night to deal with the group of people occupying 2 rooms, slamming doors, stomping in the halls, yelling and activating the fire alarm at 11:00 PM, causing the entire hotel to be evacuated into zero degree weather.
Check in was a breeze, the hotel is very clean and staff was friendly. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Punxsutawney for Groundhog Day. We checked in about 4 pm, got dinner and went to bed at 6 pm so that we could get up and leave the hotel at 2 am- around 9:00 pm a group of loud guests arrived, banging around, stomping, yelling and carrying on. Around 9:20 pm the fire alarms started going off, a loud horrible screeching nose, strobe lights were flashing- we had to evacuate the hotel in the single digit weather & wait for the emergency responders to come & clear the rooms- it ended up being one of those guests burning food in the microwave. Once we were able to get back into our room, it was difficult to get any sleep- we could still hear them carrying on for the next several hours- we were unable to get any sleep before leaving for Punxsy.
There was no hot water at all , the front desk staff said when we got there that since there wasn’t many people there and that we were on the 3rd floor the hot water might take 15 minutes or longer to reach our room, I let the water run for over an hour and still no hot water only ice cold… staff said they could give us a room on the second floor where maybe the water would get hott a little sooner BUTTT the room they were gonna switch us had no working heat! It a little portable heater , no thanks… it was brought to the staffs attention about the hot water issue and they did pretty much nothing to resolve it, when we checked out I called and asked for some kind of compensation, was told “let me call you back” that was three days ago I’ve left text messages and voicemails since , silence no response….
DO NOT STAY HERE … place is not good at all and has zero amenities. No fridges,no microwave,no Hot Water … and customer service gets two thumbs down as does the entire hotel… hope this helps potential customers out before they waste their money in this place …
Selected this hotel specifically because it had a restaurant/bar. Nowhere did it say that the restaurant and bar are closed except for Friday and Saturday and when I tell you there is NOTHING worth eating in this town, I mean it. It was a struggle. Moss Creek Pub was a diamond in the rough to find though. The hotel room was very comfortable and nice but there is no staff on the premises and the hotel is never locked. Again, the room was nice but there is NOTHING going on in this town and we were HIGHLY disappointed that we booked there BECAUSE it had a restaurant but it does NOT except for a Friday and Saturday, maybe. Kind of pissed about that.

We stayed at City Hotel for a weekend trip, Friday - Sunday. It was very clean and the check in was quick and easy. We got in late on Friday so I called before we got there and had no issues. Our room was large and we had enough space for the four of us. We will be back!
