Best Western Discovery Inn

"The exterior is just a little dated. But the room appeared to have been renovated and was very nice. Room is much larger than necessary too. The included breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again. Easy 5 minute drive into main part of town for some interesting restaurants."

"Enjoyed our stay very much, the staff was very accommodating, rooms were clean and well maintained. Having a restaurant on site was very convenient for us, all meals there were prepared very well. It is an older hotel but we felt very comfortable. They do not have a hot breakfast, which was fine for us, but provided a selection of pastries and breads, the banana bread was very good, whole fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and other items. The ice dispenser for the hotel was broken but they were happy to provide ice from the restaurant. The only negative that we had were the towels they provided for the rooms, they were thin and a little rough, but it is an older small motel so we had to real issues with that. We will be coming back up to the Raton area and are already planning on staying there. Thank you for the enjoyable stay."

"Reasonably priced accommodation with all basic amenities being provided (fridge, microwave, etc). However a couple of things could have been better: 1. The card reader for one of the staircase entrances was not working. After a long day it’s frustrating to have to go to the front desk repeatedly. Finally, I was told the the card reader might have gone “dead” and will need to be repaired and that I should use the other staircase that was farther away from my room. 2. The body wash had not been replenished. The dispenser was empty."

"Overall the hotel is very nice. The breakfast is good. I like the the real dishes and silver wear, not plastic. Our room was nice except for the bathroom shower curtain. Which was dirty and had some black mold around the magnets. For a $215.00 room I would expect better."
