The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful on the Saturday before Christmas. Our room was well-appointed and very cosy. The decor was stylish and comfortable with plenty of cushions and good quality bed linen and towels. There were lots of extras - we particularly liked the biscuits - and the tea and coffee making facilities were great. The room and en suite shower room were both extremely clean and we felt that the standard of housekeeping was especially high. good bedside tables, a dressing table, two chairs and a wardrobe offered ample furnishings. A lovely, cosy room only lacking a window. The lights seemed to be quite dim and, without natural light in the room, it would have been great to have brighter lights.
