Dirty towel on first day and radiator was full on dirt not be cleaned ever. Staff had no brush to clean it just ripped the outside and left the dirt behind. Walls had scuff marks and chips out of walls from furniture. Put in room next to staff with noises from room next door think it 27 and beer cans in the windows. Staff looking through my window when I was sat in bed one day. Felt unsafe. Menu - prices not clear and had poor stomach after having the curry and felt over priced when charged after meal when checking out. Pillows had lumps in and not comfortable to sleep on and bed hard again having to request replacement. Floors creaking when people moved from upstairs which disturbed my sleep. Found dirt in salt container in restaurant and also noticed dirt in radiators through the room. Left feeling ripped off and stressed and dissatisfied. If you want a nice experience of the Lakes I would suggest trying a different hotel.

We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and served in the hotel’s restaurant. This was a good choice for an overnight stay, especially in a premier room.

Clean and spacious room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Plentiful soft towels and nice toiletries in the bathroom. Very welcoming receptionist who gave us all the info we needed. The room belied the impression given by the filthy hotel stair carpet although the good news is a carpet fitter was actually at work replacing this on the upper floors when we arrived. We were at the back of the hotel which was quiet so didn’t experience any pavement noise which I’m guessing could have been a problem at the front. Parking was at a premium in the public car parks opposite, we were lucky enough to find a space and the charges were reasonable, probably isn’t an issue out of season. The hotel has an adjoining steak house which is convenient unless you’re a vegetarian. If you want something different it is surprisingly difficult to find anying that you couldn’t find in a shopping precinct in any town. The rooms are perfectly good for a short stay.

Its a nice Place to stay. Near to all the places we want to go to. The staff are very helpful .
