Fabulous location in downtown North Sydney, with outstanding views of Sydney harbor. Right next door to train station and large underground shopping mall, filled with many choices of restaurants, shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. Perfect location if one wishes to walk over the bridge to the Opera House area and downtown Sydney.

Familiar faces and friendly smiles welcome you as you step into the new look North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. Conveniently …More
Must be the best Harbour views in Sydney but......there is no air conditioning, thankfully we did not need it but would be a major issue on hot days as you would have to put up with the noise from the trains crossing the bridge if you opened the windows.
Although the lift was slow we found the apartment was clean and functional and the staff were lovely
The location is quiet with plenty of eateries etc a short walk up the hill, there is a ferry stop outside the hotel providing quick access to Circular Quey and Darling Harbour but it is closed for renovations at the moment so pre purchasing an Opal card is essential if you do not have your car

Perfectly situated absolute waterfront-facing the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, right on the harbour's edge at North Sydney …More
The bed and room were quite comfortable. The fact that it had a washing machine was a great bonus.
The location is great -- walkable to quite a few shops and restaurants.
Instead of paying for parking, you can park on some of the side streets nearby and save some money.
Overall the stay was comfortable.
The Hotel is definitely showing signs of age and in need to tender loving care to bring it up to current day standards.
The free WI-FI was wonderful and definitely added to my comfort during the week long stay.
The experience was pleasant overall. It's close to train station. Like 10 mins walk. However, there are some areas need to improve. The hotel didn't supply amenities daily. It only provide once which was my first day arrival. My family had to either call reception for it or buy outside. The blankets were really old n bit dirty. Wifi is really slow. It's difficult to surf on Internet.
Pocket Guide: North Shore Sydney North Shore Sydney Hotels
North Sydney is a compact secondary central business district. High-rise offices, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and a few small shopping malls dominate. Busy from Monday–Friday, it quiets down on weekends, but within 1 km is the relaxed, al fresco café, pub, and restaurant scene of Blues Point Road. Trendy Kirribilli is not much further away at the northern base of the Harbour Bridge.
