The first thing I was greeted with was the pure odor of cigarette and Marijuana smoke. The hallways were filled with loud noises all night and upon arriving at my room my key did not work. The room itself was filthy from the dirty microwave and refrigerator to the unswept floors and filthy bathroom with a leaky shower. Their was only one towel laying on a dirty sink and for the price and what was described as a king suite it was the smallest room i have ever paid for. When I went to check out the front desk woman asked me how my stay was I told her it was horrible and she said and I quote ok thank you bye. This is always my go to hotel when in Newark due to affordable pricing and convenience. I have never had an issues at this location that was not able to be resolved. The only problem I had at this recent visit was the bed was very firm. I do not recall ever having a bed here that was so firm, I could not get comfortable. I should have said something that night, however I didn't have the energy to move all my stuff. When I checked out, I did ask do different rooms have different beds. The manager claims all the beds are the same however it is possible that some are more firm than others. She offered to ensure I was not put in that room again. Aside from the very firm bed, the rooms are spacious and clean and the shower had EXCELLENT water pressure. Breakfast also was very good .
