All hardwood floors and slate tile. Master bedroom has a king bed with full bathroom which has a newly remodeled bathroom with a large shower, and a double sink vanity . Bedroom 2 has 2 queen beds and bedroom 3 has a full bed with a twin bunk over top. Bathroom 2 is a full bathroom with a tub/shower. Large yard and a beautiful beach front where you can sit, swim and sunbathe. The kitchen is fully loaded with pots, pans and dishes needed to make your favorite meals. The outside deck offers great views and a relaxing area for grilling or napping. There is a great "at home" feel at the house. This house has a separate apartment with its own entrance on the 2nd floor. It is occupied by a single renter who oversees this rental and our house beside of it. Our only issue was a safety concern for senior citizens was the step down from the kitchen to dining room and step down from the hall into living room. The house was clean, comfortable, and bright. We loved being on the water and especially kayaking. Kayaking at sunset with my daughter is my strongest takeaway memory. The nearby highway in view from the back porch did not bother us at all (not loud) and we were impressed by the naval aircraft running maneuvers or returning to base in the distance. We really enjoyed our time. Bonnie was very responsive and accommodating. The location was great for us. Our son is in the Navy so he was able to stay with us when he wasnā€™t working. Itā€™s a short 25 minute drive to VA Beach and a 20 minute drive to the zoo. The small beach right outside the back door was a big hit for the kids and the dogs. The only negative we had was the water in the house didnā€™t get hot. It was warm enough for a short shower though. I was not thrilled with the location. The beach area was not clean, needed to be raked, there was seaweed. The first night we got there the kids wanted to swim, my granddaughter hit thr rocks and was all cut up from them. There was not much to do in the area, i personally did not feel safe in the area. Helicopters and planes flying over head at all hours of the day and night. Road construction on the interstate also occurs at night. If you are a light sleeper bring noise canceling head phones. Also, bring extra towels. Only 1 towel is provided per person, and were denied any additional when requested. ##### Keira K. The private beach in the backyard is so quaint, and the regular beach is only a few minutes walk. I recommend staying here! ##### Kat Z. The house is just right- comfortable beds and furniture, well equipped kitchen, and a beautiful view. My parents both have some mobility issues so we were looking for a place with everything on one level and this space met our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the back yard beach, and used our kayak every day because we didnā€™t have to carry it anywhere. The kids enjoyed playing and swimming right outside their door, while the adults hung out on the patio. Thereā€™s a heron that lives nearby and is a lot of fun to watch. They also enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and making traditional foods from our childhood. We also enjoyed the Norfolk scene! Premium Outlet Mall, Ocean View Pier, Chrysler Museum and Navy Exchange. I was very pleased with this property. Very clean and taken care of. My 4 yr granddaughter decided its her beach house. And we can come stay when we need a break. It was the perfect place for our family! The living area was large and open for family, the kitchen was open and incredibly well stocked with dishes for meals, baking, and whatever. Donā€™t let the entrance photo fool you- the house is almost completely updated and very comfy. The pier was a huge bonus for those who wanted to fish and even try to crab, despite poor weather. We were sorry not to be able to better utilize the fire pit and spacious upper and lower decks. ##### Nora W. It did not disappoint. Even though the weather was only in the upper 60 to low 70's the kids enjoyed the sandy beach and the water. Nice to have a place that is level and not too deep for the little ones to have some independence while playing. Will definitely come back when weather is warmer. ##### Dawn B. So enjoyed our holiday at this property! The house was clean, weather was great, our pups loved playing in the yard and water, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for meals, and we were a short walk from beach access and a short drive from great breweries.
