9.4/10 Exceptional! (416 reviews)
Unique property, that’s what I liked the most. It was on a very quiet street that felt more local than other hotels. We traveled in a group and each one of us had a very different style of room all done by different designers and architects our room was suited perfectly for us it was done in soothing colours, decor and layout. Our room exactly what we wanted to come back to after long days in Kyoto.
We opted for the breakfast at the hotel, it was absolutely delicious. They had the option of western or Japanese style we tried both. Either option was delicious and the presentation was beautiful the staff were so attentive.
The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. It was such a wonderful experience.

The nicest hotel we stayed at in Japan.
Breakfast was AMAZING. Definitely get a room plan with Breakfast. You get choice of a western egg dish, plus a very high quality buffet.
We had dinner twice at the restaurant and both meals were great. We also had a rooftop cocktail.
The staff was very helpful with our luggage forwarding, as well.
Laundry facilities were very nice.
Beds were super comfortable.
Fabulous location. Walking distance to Yasaka and Kiyomizu.
We rented e-bikes from the hotel and had a great day and covered a ton of ground.
