Nauvoo Country Cottage - Sleeps 12

Relax in the quiet of the charming countryside surrounding Nauvoo, yet be close enough to enjoy all the local attractions within minutes.

Nauvoo Country Cottage is located just 7.5 miles from the Nauvoo Illinois Temple. This cozy home sits on 3 acres giving plenty of privacy to your family or group.

This home is great for your family or group gathering! There are 4 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and two with twin bunk beds. The bedrooms with the bunk beds also have lofts with full size mattresses. The lofts are great for kids or small adults and are enclosed with a secure railing. Must be able to climb a ladder to use the lofts. Two pack-n-play cribs also available for babies.

There is parking on property however the driveway is only a single car width for most of its length. There is lots of area outside for kids to run and play!

Entire home, fully furnished with laundry and pack-n-play cribs. Guests may use the large yard for tents if they would like.

This is an older rural country home with a few “character” quirks. We have worked very hard to convert the home to a great bnb experience. You’ll be comfortable and have your privacy.

There is a fire pit in the yard for campfires. There is also a charcoal BBQ available, however guests will need to provide their own charcoal and firestarter.

The nearest stores are located about 6 minutes away in Fort Madison, IA. There is a toll of $4 in one direction and free toll in the other direction. Access to Nauvoo is toll-free.

Great Home!

This home worked out great for me and my 3 sisters to stay while we were visiting Nauvoo. It’s only about 10 minutes out of town and provided us with lots of extra space, a place to eat meals and play games! I would definitely stay again!

Nice house in the Country

We enjoyed our stay in this older farm house. It is in a beautiful country setting which is only about 15 minutes from Nauvoo. The owner is responsive and cares about his guests.

Comfortable home

We needed a home that could fit twelve individuals and this was an excellent choice. Aside from a cutting board, the home had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were newly remodeled.

Okay this cottage house is an older home.The bathrooms are on one side of the house right next to the master bedroom.The kitchen is right outside the master bedroom and bathroom. Right next to the other bathroom. The dining area is right outside the kitchen.The first bedroom with queen bed is just outside the dining room.The two bedrooms have only bunk beds and lofts the ladders to the loft beds are really step. We managed with our group of eight. It’s a nice place.If you love country life this is for you!

The perfect home away from home

House had all the amenities we could have asked for. Our stay was wonderful and Jordan and Morgan were wonderful hosts. They were very responsive when we had a question or a need. We appreciate their welcoming efforts. We hope to stay here again soon.

Property is removed from town just enough to be delightful but close enough to drive there within minutes. The home was furnished well. The grandkids loved sleeping on the bunk beds and in the loft. The queen rooms were perfect for the adults. The yard had room for the kids to play outside. Owner is easy to contact and very helpful. We’ll stay here again when next in the area. Highly recommend.

We totally enjoyed the cottage. It had plenty of room. The kitchen and bathrooms were spacious. It has a country style with a little modern flair decor. It was peaceful. We felt safe. We would stay there again.

Perfect for our trip to Nauvoo

We loved our time at this little house in Niota. The kitchen is as well stocked as any we've ever seen and the kids had fun with the games in the cabinet. We appreciated the great communication with Jordan and all of the couch space to watch Conference on. I hope we get back to Nauvoo and if we do, we'd definitely stay at this property again.

Delightful

We arrived at our country cottage at night. Easy entry and spacious area. Beds very comfortable. Sheets exceptional. Total accommodation was beautiful and comfortable. The night sky was truly an added bonus. The birds were also exceptionally happy. Highly recommend it. Host was most accommodating.

Little Slice of Heaven

Great communication and quick responses from the start! The house was perfect for our group. Great kitchen table so we could all eat together and play games into the night. They provided everything we needed plus more. The lofts were so fun and the 2 bathrooms were big. Very clean property and would absolutely stay here again.

Soccer tournament refuge

Youth soccer tournaments in Burlington are notorious for having very few hotels available, so I highly recommend this place for folks looking for an alternative. About 25 min from recplex. Tons of beds for kiddos.

Made Nauvoo trip special

Shared Vrbo with close friends family and it let us put our kids to bed while we enjoyed games. Comfy bed and owner was very responsive and easy to work with. There was some things we picked up in the yard but it was easy in and easy out. We hosted about 30 people one night for an Easter egg hunt and it was awesome for that. Will stay again.
