"The photos are actually inconsistent with the property. The pool is extremely small with no chairs/lounge or other options to sit around if you want to sunbake. The other pool looked like it had been abandoned - again, no chairs or anything to enjoy the area. Very uninviting. Rooms are large but not what is advertised either I didn’t enjoy the food onsite Overall, very disappointing. Would not stay here again"

"One of the best hotels I've stayed at in my life! The property and views are incredible! The staff were quick to help us with any need, and the location is so convenient. About 10-15 minutes from Tam Coc, Hoa Lu old town, Trang An boat ride and Mua caves. My husband and I both got massages at their spa during our stay, and they were one of the best we had in all of Vietnam. ChezCao is such a gem and I highly recommend this place for your stay in Ninh Binh! "

"This place holds a special place in my heart. I booked at the last minute after changing my plans stayed for a week and spent my 50th birthday here. I had been on an escorted tour which i spontaneously left as it wasn’t as expected and randomly chose Ninh Binh and this hotel as a destination for some down time; I’d never heard of either the town or hotel a few days before which now feels unreal as they’re both so vast and beautiful that I can’t believe more people don’t know about them. I had a few issues at the beginning due to some ongoing health/stress issues (exacerbated by the tour, so I really wanted some down time) which meant I was grouchy about ongoing conference and construction noise on site, and about the fact that the rooftop pool/bar was closed. The construction noise IS a bit annoying, but I learned to live with the timings and sleep around it (early to bed, early to rise), however the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of the team and comfort of the room made up for it. The rooms are huge and very well equipped with shower and freestanding bath with a view, minibar, large beds and comfy bedding. Apart from the construction noise it’s very quiet and you cannot hear noise from other rooms. The breakfast buffet was huge. A couple of things to improve: more vegan/veggie options maybe and also keep the coffee and food warm and fresh. The buffet ends early at 9am and as most guests are on tours they tend to eat early and there are fewer people around after 8am"

"Hotel was fine for the price. Breakfast catered mainly for Chinese & Vietnamese tourists. Bathroom was flooded after every shower which took some time for the water to go. "

"A very nice stay with a private pool , friendly staff and calm and comfortable vibe. The highlight was the breakfast, delivered to your private pool, tasted good and enhanced the tropical vibes. It would be a 5 star except a few minor nitpicks. First one being the bedsheets, they had a strange pale orange/red hue to them that really put us off. Secondly, the luggage was mishandled as there was not a conventional luggage room and someone put a random baby's singlet in my partners suitcase. Again, nothing crazy, and we did enjoy our stay a lot. A few minor tweaks and this is a really fun and comforting stay in one of the more aesthetic parts of vietnam!"
