Check in for the most part is automated and there is no assistance as to what the property offers. You have to ask about everything. The TV has the majority of the hotel description, but for things like dinner recommendations, what to do and see your in your own to figure that out. They charge to use the pool, pool table, and darts by the hour and our very strict about it. They’d make a lot more money and have gappier customers if they just put a time limit on the pool and darts when the demand for use is high. We were the only ones using it. The unseen is more like a large community pool with a bunch of naked people in it. Very busy and I did not find it relaxing. I doubt they can get around this since it’s such a large hotel. Vending machines and ice are limited to the second floor and we were on the 17th. There's no street level crosswalk across Higashi-odori. If you walk up from the rail station, on the southwest side of the street and try to cross at the hotel you have the option to use the over-the-street walkway over the street (which is awkward if you have heavy rolling luggage!) They “centrally” control the temperature in the rooms and pumped heat into the room all night. When calling the front desk to turn it down or use some AC they said no and to open the window. The hotel is at a major 8 lane intersection and had to open the window and was kept up by loud revving motorcycles and cars all night. Beds are cheap, thin, hard and worn and got really sore.
