Original architectural features dating back to 1900—old beams, arched doorways, and historic bricks—have been preserved with great care and complemented by modern amenities. Infrared heating and two wood-burning stoves—one of which is traditionally located in the kitchen—provide cosy warmth—and if you’d like, you can cook on the old stove just like in the old days. The small natural garden is a wonderful place to relax: whether over morning coffee under old trees, with a book on the patio, or in the evening with a glass of wine in the North Sea breeze. Two e-bikes are available for exploring the vast, peaceful landscape of North Frisia.

Our holiday home is ideally located for exploring North Frisia’s most beautiful spots. Sylt, Amrum, and Föhr are also within easy reach—perfect for trips to the sea or a day at the beach. Friedrichstadt, with its romantic canals; the maritime city of Flensburg; and the sprawling town of St. Peter-Ording, with its famous stilt houses and dune landscapes, are also only about an hour’s drive away. Thanks to excellent public transport connections, many destinations can be easily explored without a car—in a sustainable and relaxed way. If you just want to take a stroll or do some shopping in between, you’ll find excellent shopping options within walking distance right in town: a bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, and more are just a few minutes away. This makes for a hassle-free holiday—balancing relaxation, nature, and convenient access to everyday necessities.
