Balcomo, a Ramada by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"It was a super busy weekend with families in town for various tournaments.
But the staff was always pleasant and accommodating
Special shout out to Alice at the local eatery on site. She’s top-notch and definitely deserves a raise.
Will definitely be staying here again.
Super family friendly and I love that they allow pets of all size."
"We stayed for 10 days. It was a great location and the staff were super helpful. I would have given it 5 stars if rooms were freshened up at least every other day!"
"It was May long I was sad to see the pool wasn’t filled I had booked because it said “heated pool” not sure if it was mentioned pool was not in use when I booked, either way I didn’t see this information that would have affected my choice."
"The property is older so didn't expect perfection but overall it was a good value for a waterfront motel in Penticton on the May long weekend. Management gave us an upgrade to a king room with a kitchenette from our basic booking which was very appreciated, we stayed an extra night and they charged the same rate. The room was clean, quiet, well equipped (kitchen) and clean. I would stay again for sure and recommend it. The pool is small but comfortably heated and nice to have for dip when it get hot out. The location is fantastic, beach and bike path right out front, lots of sunny patio bars and restaurants and walking distance to downtown."
"Generally a fine property. In room amenities were sparse(cream and sugar or coffeelots of towels and pool amenities. Jets in hot tub are permanently closed of."
"The room was very spacious - we had a 2 bedroom suite. Everything was clean. The sofas and beds were very comfortable.
The staff was very helpful - even helped carry our stuff up the stairs. They also came to the room to assist with Wifi connection. It was very windy while we were there and lost internet and cable for one night though.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, though there was no paper towel. Lots of pots and fry pans. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher soap, only hand soap.
Overall the room was great, given that it's an older motel. Location was great - just across from the beach. Lots of restaurants close by.
I would definitely stay here again."
"No service in terms of bed being made. Very mediocre breakfast. Nothing for gluten free. No body cream... Basically for what we paid would have expected better. OK but that's it."
