Disappointing because it could be really nice with a bit of effort. The patio doors are broken and don't close/seal properly, the bathrooms are tired/old and awkwardly laid out - the master bathroom is completely open to the bedroom, with the toilet in a literal closet (with old sliding closet doors) and no shower. The cleaning was...ok. The house largely appeared clean, but there was garbage and a shoe under the couch in plain view when we walked in. Most odd - there were 30 flies in the house when we arrived. We messaged the host and she was unbothered, said a door must have been left open but - it was an INSANE amount of flies. There was clearly an infestation somewhere in the house. We had to buy fly traps and by the end of the weekend, there were 20 dead flies all over the house. We discovered some of the light fixtures were also full (i.e. 50) of dead flies from before we came, confirming that there was a problem bigger than "a door was left open".
