The quaint Swinton Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a memorable family retreat.

Located in the oldest section of Niagara-on-the Lake, this century old home is only a 2 minute stroll to the downtown Queen Street area, where you will find world class restaurants, the Shaw Festival and local boutiques. You can also visit some of Ontario’s most famous wineries.

The Swinton Cottage (circa 1890), has been lovingly restored and features all the original charm with all the modern amenities.

Nice cottage in the perfect location. Loved the 1800 period look with modern conveniences. Enjoyed having coffee on the front porch away from the Main Street, but only it is only a short walk away.

The house was clean & had the amenities we needed. We would have liked having a blender for smoothies for all the yummy fruits we got. We were close to the charming downtown so we could just walk to go shopping and found many wonderful restaurants.

We loved our time at Niagara on the Lake. The location was perfect for our adventures. Overall, the cleanliness of the place was good but the slipcovers could have used a cleaning as well as the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen was well supplied and we had plenty of room to be together.

Shaw Festival visit to NOTL

We spent four nights at the Swinton Cottage and found it to meet all our needs. The house has a great location three blocks from Queen Street and all the Play venues, restaurants and shopping. The house is on a quiet street and has off street parking. The host checked on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything during our stay.

Cute cottage in old town

We loved our stay at this cute cottage. It is actually much larger than we expected and lots of room for the entire family. We were 5 adults and we had plenty of room to sleep, dine and relax. The details in the decor and the cottage layout are great. We enjoyed the BBQ and found the kitchen to be stocked with everything needed to cook as needed. The location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk from the main street for shops and dinning in NOTL. The hosts were easy to reach and check in was a breeze. Would definitely recommend for a short stay with family or friends.

What a gorgeous historic house. We loved how you kept the charm of it intact, while providing enough modern conveniences to not make it challenging. The yard could use a little love (the vegetation needs a little trimming). The outdoor dining table has one leg that’s holding on by a thread. Maybe just fix it or replace it? Other than that it was a wonderful property.

Extremely clean & fresh; well organized & stocked; tasteful decor. We didn't need much but there was a convenience store within 2 blocks. Quick responses from Ms. Luisa. Property was nicely kept. I would've liked to stay longer (and 10/10 would book again when returning to the area). Area felt safe and we enjoyed being a five minute walk from the busier areas. Reviews are really based on personal preferences and traits - as someone who values planning ahead, clean uncluttered environments and warm atmospheres, this property felt like home to us. Charming home in great location

We had a lovely stay here - very clean, charming decor and just a few blocks from the center of town. The check in was a wee bit stressful since we didn't obtain the keycode until we called just before 4 pm. But Luisa did call us after I sent an email and she was very friendly. Had a bit of ant problem on the 2nd floor in the bathroom from a small hole in the ceiling. Was able to fix the problem with duct tape that was in the home. Luisa was very responsive and although she couldn't get anyone out to the house before we left, our duct tape did the job for the duration. Really appreciated how close this house was to town.
