This was my second stay in less than a year at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. It was a delight to see Shiela again, who provided a very warm welcome to our group. Great place, super friendly and professional staff - some of the best we met across Northern Tanzania and Zanzibar. Hotel is 15 minutes walking distance to the lake with all its amazing abundance of birds. We went there by ourselves and enjoyed meeting a team of zebras in the bushes nearby :) Bring local Masai if you are not comfortable walking on your own in African nature. Chilling in the pool with awesome views was a special delight on hot afternoons. Rooms are all new, clean and taken care...

An unforgettable start to my safari adventure — highly recommended! I had the pleasure of spending my first night at Escarpment, Lake Manyara, and it was truly the perfect introduction to the beauty of Tanzania. The lodge is perched above Lake Manyara National Park, offering endless, breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding park — a true feast for the eyes. The suite was exceptionally spacious, beautifully appointed, and designed to immerse you in nature without sacrificing comfort. What...

Comfortable budget rooms with lovely staff. Very popular with the tour guides.

great place to relax between safris

The only real negative was that the porch area needed to be seen to...the wooden boards were a little loose underfoot. The hotel itself..again beautiful gardens and landscaping, there was a pool on site too (although we didn't have time to use it)and a...

It was excellent. The grounds are beautiful. The the food is superb. The room is large it had two king size bed and a fireplace a sitting area. we stayed at this Four Season in the Serengeti. this was comparable for a lot less money. I would stay here again. In fact, we extended our stay one day just to enjoy the service and the food. It is definitely a jewel.
