Top Newton Abbot Hotel Reviews

The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon

8/10 Good

"Fabulous hotel in a beautiful location. I wouldn’t book though if there is a wedding on as any residents were restricted to their rooms or the bar( with no comfy seating). They couldn’t cater for food in the bar as the kitchen was busy with the wedding menu. Use of the lounge was also off limits. We left a day early due to this. So I would definitely go again but ask if would be a wedding on first. Staff are lovely."

Cromwell Arms

10/10 Excellent

"This was one of the best stays that I’ve experienced in a while. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly upon arrival and were happy to answer any questions. I was traveling alone with two children and the staff were intuitive and accommodating. The food was phenomenal and the breakfast the next morning was really good as well."

Gidleigh Park

10/10 Excellent

"Stunning location on the edge of Dartmoor, set in beautiful grounds. The hotel is warm, cozy, well decorated with very comfortable luxurious rooms. The staff are very attentive in a real genuine way and interested in their guests well being. The food is outstanding as is evidenced bu it's Michelin star... very much deserved. We went at a very quiet time which was great for us as we felt that we had the hotel to ourselves. It's a real treat as a long weekend away especially if you are a food lover."
