Our room was clean apart from 1 of the beds which had remaining sand from a previous trip. The rooms had no wardrobes or hanging space and the bathroom was very small. The hallways and social areas however were not very pleasant but the rooms themselves were as expected. We didn't expect any posh hotel, but the reality was frankly shocking! First of all, the male receptionist was so rude, no manners whatsoever, wasn't helpful at all (I've never met anyone so arrogant working at the reception). The room was another shock, as they don't put the actual photos on their webpage. No towels, no cups, carpets are extremely dirty! No idea why they ask to pay another £30 per person for stay (they return the money back after they check the room next day and it's in a good condition - not sure what you can even damage, as it's damaged already!! Another shock was when we actually had to pay extra £12 for parking. Its located in the heart of Newquay, with easy access and discounts available in Berties bar right next door. This year we discovered brand new carpets (thank god) which I was tempted to sleep on as the mattresses were very uncomfortable. Over half of us found the springs dug into your back which made sleeping difficult. Apart from that the hotel is clean, friendly and open all hours which is great when you stagger in at 4am. We will be back next year no doubt. Very late check in which was annoying as wanted to put our bags somewhere. The rooms weren't the best but if you're going for a night out then they're not bad just to get ready and leave your stuff. Brilliant location! Would stay there again if it was for a night out down there.
