Perfect location- hopefully return next time for the festiival
Very clean, spacious, comfortable, condo. I tend to be OCD about arrangements, therefore, the owner Jack, was amazing, reassuring me all the way. We parked our car and walked everywhere. Restaurants were amazing especially Zelda, that is right next to our rental! The Festival closed most of the streets, making us so grateful we had parking. We were so lucky to have found a place in the middle of the shopping district!
We enjoyed our stay and all 4 of us slept well. Plenty of room for my girlfriend and I and her two 17 year olds. It is nice having a convenience store close by. The one knock I had is that there are no closet rods to hang anything. very odd. Also the light above the bathroom mirror does not work, but other reviewers have already mentioned that.
Property is clean and centrally located to shopping and restaurants. Activities within walking distance. No lights in one of the bedrooms, needed flashlight on phone when it was dark. Coffee maker did not work. Owner contacted by email once prior to arrival with questions, no response. Owner contacted regarding lights and coffee maker by email with no response.
My family and I had a great weekend stay in this clean and stylish apartment located in the heart of Newport! It was exactly as pictured and there was plenty of space for us to relax while also giving us easy access to explore the town on foot. The beds were very comfortable and the smart TV loaded with streaming apps was a great feature. The parking was critical for us as we were traveling with a carful of kid/baby gear - but as some others have noted, others in the neighborhood have a tendency to use the spots even though they’re private. (We only needed one spot so it wasn’t an issue for us, but another car was parked in one of the designated spots the whole time we were there.) We had a great stay; our 4 year old cried when we left because she loved playing on the bunk beds so much. :)
This property has a nice location and is well laid out with three bedrooms and can easily sleep 4 to 6 people. And although we stayed only a short time we appreciated having laundry in the unit. However, we were a bit surprised to find no shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, or soap other than dishwashing soap. We did not have a car and had to walk a long distance to source those. Also, there is not much in the unit with regards to glasses, dishes, utensils, or other standard amenities you would find for a unit in this price range. We suggest the owner make a run to Costco and spend a little money to outfit this unit. Other than that, thanks for the opportunity to stay in your home.

Perfect location...but need a few tweaks
We could not have asked for a better part of town. However, our parking spaces were always filled by people (we think) who worked at the nearby bar and grill--who also used the dumpster in the front yard at all hours of the night. They were loud, but not unbearable.
The house is adorable, and the beds were so comfortable. But, there should be more kitchen utensils and supplies. And, the coffee pot did not work.
Our host did not respond to any of the questions I posted after check-in either.
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining too much because we had a great stay. The people at the bar next door told us it was a new rental, and with just a little more work, this could be a top-notch rental!
Convenient location, reasonable rental fee, as advertised
This unit is convenient to all of the Newport attractions. The property was clean and everything was as described / pictured. The rental rate was very reasonable compared to other properties and hotels for the busy holiday and marathon weekend. Not luxurious, but clean & functional - appropriate for the price.
We found reviews very helpful, so I’ll reiterate a few points:
- This unit is attached to the back of a restaurant, but sufficiently buffered so we weren’t bothered by noise or cars
- The two queen beds have comfortable mattresses (nice memory foam) & soft sheets; we didn’t use the bunk beds
- One bedroom has a large unshaded skylight above the bed. I had read that in another review and was glad that I brought a sleep eye mask, as the mornings were very bright in that room. Bedrooms don’t have TVs (not a problem for us) and don’t have rods in the closets to hang clothes
- There is only bathroom, which seems to be fairly recently remodeled and was in good shape, other than the light above the mirror not working, as others had indicated Lots of shelves, drawers, and hooks in the bathroom, plenty of towels and rolls of TP provided. Hand soap provided; bring your own body soap
- Kitchen also was modern. Good fridge, microwave, oven, sink. Hand soap, paper towels, and dish soap provided. No coffee maker and no dishwasher. Full sized washer and dryer
- The weather changed while we were there; both AC and heat worked well
- Overall a great stay!
The home was cute and comfortable. It's not immediately in the action of town but close enough to walk. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and the house felt clean. The couch and chairs in the family room were not the most cushy but fine enough. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!
The host was very welcoming and the location is perfect! Big driveway to park and not have to drive anywhere. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping and the mansions. The place was very clean and spacious. I do not have a single negative thing to say about it. Will definitely book it again next year!
Great location off of Thames and a plus with 2 car parking!! We like to eat breakfast in. Kitchen is minimalist - dishes, a few pans, silverware, had to broil toast but no biggie. There is a keurig! As mentioned, bathroom light doesn't work. Additional pluses- laundry, lots of towels, comfy beds, cute decor. I would recommend this rental!
This property was great for our needs. The only (very minor) complaint was that the above-mirror light in the bathroom didn’t work. Wonderful otherwise.
Adorable and clean, perfectly located right off Thames street. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants and a very short walk into the main part of town. The host Jack was extremely receptive and responded to questions within minutes. Will definitely be back and the kids loved it. Newly renovated and stocked well for guests. Thank you for a great stay!!

Okay
Okay .. cramped parking, poorly equipped kitchen, water turned tepid quickly. Mattresses were nice.
Host interaction was poor. The access information as not provided and we had to get it from Vrbo support (which was very responsive). The host provided no information re the apartment or the area and was not responsive to emails. The apartment appeared run down. Although towels were provide there was not shampoo, bath wash, etc so we had to go out to purchase them ourselves. There was no hair dryer provided. I would not rent this apartment again. I am used to much higher quality rentals from Vrbo.
