Perfect location to downtown. You can walk to restaurants and shopping. The property is nice, clean, comfortable and kitchen has everything that you would need. House was well stocked with towels, sheets, toilet paper and paper towels. My only complaint is it’s an apartment and you could hear the neighbors upstairs. You could hear them walking around, they came home late and woke us up. You could even hear the blow dryer in the morning. We got on street parking and only had to park in the public lot once. The public lot is close by and they charge $30 for overnight parking. We went in Oct so it’s also considered the off season. This property was nice and I would stay again. Only two complaints that I had involved the fact that the pull out couch was broken. So I slept on the couch longways. Good think I’m less than 6 feet tall. The host communicated that there was an air mattress available, which I wasn’t aware off. The second issue involve the electronic door locks. They seemed to act strange, the exterior door would not lock from the outside when commanded but seemed like it locked eventually, maybe on a timer. And the interior door lock sometimes would turn over on itself repeatedly and we had to push the door really hard to open it. We were afraid we would be locked out/damage the door lock. The place was clean and we were very content. Amazing location right near all the shops and restaurants. Perfect location to walk downtown and see the sites! It couldn't be more convenient for everything in Newport and nearby.Parking was not a terrible issue. Location was definitely the highlight as it is a perfect spot to walk Newport downtown area for sights, restaurants, shopping, coffee etc. We did not have any issues with access or safety and felt comfortable with our kids in tow. Parking was hit or miss but expected during busy summer season and we overall did pretty well finding a spot. Easy walk to downtown area. Found street parking right outside but could see it being an issue later in the spring or definitely summer.
