The house was amazing! We loved the location, view, how clean and very welcoming the place is. It's a historic house that you can sit back and imagine when it was the only house around and what it was like back then. The host was magnificent, easy to communicate with and truly wanted us to enjoy our time, which we did! We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Location, location

We really enjoyed this home - oceanfront, easily walkable to Nye Beach shopping and down to the beach. A quick drive to the additional bayfront restaurants. The home is older/historic but very comfortable.

Such a fantastic place for a family vacation!

We had our first family vacation with our adult children in many years. This was the perfect spot! Beautiful beach views, fully stocked house, short walk to the beach! It was truly perfect for us!

Great House on NYE Beach

Very nice well-stocked house right in the heart of the NYE beach neighborhood. The beach, restaurants, and stores are all within walking distance. Loved drinking coffee and sitting in the rocking chairs while looking at the ocean.

Great home in beautiful location.

This is our second stay here. The house is spacious and clean with an amazing ocean view through a panoramic window and via a wide balcony. Just steps from the ocean and the charming town of Nye Beach.

Splendid stay in Nye Beach

We had a glorious view of the ocean, and we were in our favorite place in Newport. Plenty of everything you need so you don't have to go out--games, movies, kitchen and bath supplies.

Great location and ocean view

Home was very comfortable and had all the items necessary for an enjoyable time. Fantastic view of the ocean from the outside deck and from large windows inside with big comfy chairs facing the water. Within blocks of the beach and numerous interesting shops and restaurants. This was our second visit.

Great view great location

As soon as we walked in the home, we were all shocked by the fantastic view of the Pacific ocean, and the beach right in front of us. The location was right in the middle of restaurants shops all within walking distance of us. We parked the car and never had to drive all the time we were there.

This property has an excellent view of the ocean and close to local food, dining, and bars. However, the property needs work. Blinds broken/missing, kitchen lighting poor

Comfortable historic home with great location!

We loved this house! It has the charm of an older home and is perfectly maintained. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed. The decor was perfect for a beach house, with lots of shells. The view of the ocean from the living room and deck were great, and access to Nye beach was easy. We also appreciated the cleaning supplies and extra spices in the pantry. We had everything we needed!

Cute cozy home in a FANTASTIC location!

This home felt like I was staying at a friends house. It was in a superb location and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. It had a beautiful ocean view. The rooms were quite small but we spent all of our time in the open concept living/dinning/kitchen area. It was the perfect place for us to gather for an early family Christmas celebration. Definitely a great place for a reasonable price!

Nice roomy old house

We loved the view from the deck and through the enormous beach facing windows. I nice big dining table with room for everyone. A well appointed kitchen Being an older house built before current code requirements, the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steeper than normal but carpeted so the footing is secure. We enjoyed our stay here.

American Classic

Wonderful house with character. Great location for our purposes. Within walking distance to several favorite shops and galleries and beach walking. Great view of the sea. Needs mattress replacements. Soon, if possible. One other thing: dining table had a thick coat of oil from polishing. Love the rocking chairs in front of the dining room windows ,possible

Excellent location. Close to beach, restaurants & shops. House was clean and had all the necessities, including some extras, like beach chairs. My only issue is parking. It’s nearly impossible to get a parking spot close to the house. But would stay again!

Great, as usual

This was our second week long stay at the American Classic. We had a great time. This place is wonderful. It is meticulously decorated, has modern appliances, and is perfect for relaxing while watching whales or sleeping (13 hours a night for me). Many pet friendly restaurants are nearby. Everyone in the area is friendly and the hosts respond immediately to any questions that you have. We plan to be back again next year.
