"First, Caroline (on-site supervisor) couldn’t have been more kind and attentive. The unit was very basic accommodations, like a budget hotel. Specifically, beds are on the lower quality end, to the extent that one of them had to be modified with extra comforters. "This is a dormitory. It is a very spacious, well-priced, and close to the centre, but has some inconveniences you wouldn't expect if staying in an apartment, as it is advertised. Some of our challenges: the listing shows a washer. But the washer is not in the space, and you have to buy tokens during office hours. We arrived at 5pm Friday and were out of luck. To use the shower you have to sit on the floor. The heat is constantly on, so you have to manage that to get a comfortable temperature."

We had some difficulty operating the shower in the master bedroom (could just be that we were from another country and we have different types of showers). The other shower worked just fine. "There is plenty of space, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, for a family of six to stay here comfortably. But what we found interesting was it was a little sparse on the basics like towels, dishes, cups, etc. The maximum amount of people are six. We were only each given one towel no extra hand towels, no face cloths.Some of the standard table settings there were only six no more so if you wanted to use two glasses at dinner, you had to wash one to use it again. No dual beverages at dinner ha ha...

"I only stayed for two nights, but Castle Troy Hotel & Suites was wonderful from start to finish. I arrived during a very busy wedding weekend, and despite having what looked like a hundred things happening at once, every member of the staff I interacted with was warm, patient, attentive, and genuinely kind. I was in Limerick primarily to attend a concert at Thomond Park and probably asked far more questions than the average guest. Not once did I feel rushed. The staff gave thoughtful advice about transportation, timing, and the local area, and helped make sure I got where I needed to be without stress. One staff member even gave me first-hand advice based on having just seen The Lumineers at Thomond Park earlier in the week, which helped me plan my timing perfectly. Ironically, I booked a suite that was far more accommodation than I needed for such a short stay, but it was comfortable, spotless, and exceptionally well equipped. The entire property felt welcoming and easy to settle into. What I’ll remember most, though, isn’t the room. It’s the people. Every interaction felt personal and genuine, and that level of hospitality is something you don’t forget. If I find myself back in Limerick, I would happily stay here again."
