It is a short walk to the beach (about 5 to 10 min) and to numerous restaurant options on PCH. The patio is perfect for soaking up the CDM life / weather and the people walking by are extremely friendly. This house is great for a night cooking in, coffee on the patio in the morning or a starting point for dinner on PCH. The house was absolutely beautiful in a great location. Close to the local coffee shop, Orangetheory, F45, CVS, etc. and also to the water. I did not have a car and was able to walk to everything I needed. The house also provided essentials such as laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, and even blow dryer. There was some lack of communication and a couple miscommunications prior to the stay but the host absolutely did the right thing and rectified the situation. We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals across the U.S. and abroad, and this was our first negative experience. We’ve rented several homes in Corona Del Mar and chose this one only because our usual options weren’t available. The location is quiet and walkable, but unfortunately, the home didn’t meet expectations.We booked this property because it looked recently updated and included a garage—important due to the area’s twice-weekly street cleaning. Only after contacting the host from the airport did we learn the garage was too small for our car. This should be disclosed in the listing.The home was clean, and the corner lot was quiet, but we had no hot water for five days. Communication with the host was difficult —we had to stay in and meet the plumber ourselves to resolve the issue. The master sink was clogged for four days. Three bright lights from the adjacent property, also managed by the host, stayed on 24/7, shining into the master bedroom. They were only covered on day nine after repeated requests.Outdoor cushions were dirty, and the umbrella was broken. The compact layout works for two, but bathrooms have almost no counter space. Couch and chair were uncomfortable—we bought new bed pillows during our stay. No welcome guide or info was provided; we had to message the host for basic questions.
