Wonderful Visit to the North Shore

We had a wonderful stay at Hygge House. The check in process was very simple. The room was perfect for us. The building is centrally located within a few blocks to the waterfront boardwalk (with several nearby restaurants). Closer to the Hygge House is a variety store, coffee shops, and more fine dining establishments. We would definitely stay again.

The parking is easier than the listing makes it sound. The room was comfortable and clean. Little things that impacted my trip were that I couldn’t find a dish rack for dirty dishes and the bathroom was out of hand soap. Other than that it was a convenient, no frills stay.

The location was great, rooms clean. Every communication was online. No personal contact. When we complained about continual dog barking from a room next to us after 10:00 pm we received at A1 response that stating quiet hours were 10:00 pm and later. We have stayed at this property several times in the past and it was fine. I suspect it is under new ownership and now handled as as a rental. The price was high for lack of service. We will not return.

Overall a nice place. It was very clean but simple. Tiny toiletries enough for one shower. No housekeeping but we were able to get fresh towels one day. Room was on the smaller side. Parking was very difficult with a narrow driveway and 3 parallel parking spots in back with no room to turn around. Limited on street parking -some only had 2 hr parking. One person would be comfortable.

Difficult getting access. The email they sent went to junk so it took ages to find how to get into the property. The room was much smaller than it looked on the photos. Not much noise insulation in the property so you could hear other residents. Parking we got lucky but it could’ve been difficult. Great location but property very disappointing
